did you have to go any configuring with them to get them to work -
Hi all I am after someones advice (i as i don't know alot about fibre) on whether sfp transceivers are plug and play with the switch above ( dlink dgs-1210-24) or do u have to do some special configuration with them so they work. As i want to be able to send Vlan data of these links to. If you could let me know which ones are the best ones and what will be compatiable to use. Thanks Nathan

Do you have any script or acutally get it working with autoit i have tried and failed

if you do everything yourself to then you can fault find and it is must easier than going to diagrams and cabients you can just do it off the top of your head as well makes life so much easier. We have never had contractors in the 14 years that i have been here. We would even let the local authority ICT team come in cable because they are not very good double up on everything pull wires through places that are unreachable like plaster in the cables, etc

we do all the work our self as you say the school bidget is tight. But if you do everything in house then the money can get pumped back into ICT for the pupils to benifit and learn new skills. We saved absolute thousands by doing this like the best part of 500 grand at least. We basically rewired the whole school. At the end of the day depends if you are happy in doing what you do and the school trust you and know that you are not qaulified.

Morning All Was just wondering if you could help me out i have install the mult e maths resources on a shared application drive. installed the toolbox to all the computers that need it. Now i find out that you need to install the client on the computers to but the client is intergrated into a setup file (which has to be installed manually). Was wondering if anyone has got the client as a msi or .exe so that i can push it across the network. Thanks

Have you checked that you have not got a loop through on the network. this will broadcast packets and sometimes lose connectivity we had this problems as we didn't have spamming tree turned on -

Interactive Projectors VS Interactive Whiteboards
nathan3388 replied to andyturpie's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
interactive projectors are pants you have to calibrate them all the time, have a mind of their own and cost way too when you can pick a interactive board and projector for cheaper. -
try City Electirical factors these are who we deal with

Silent (or quiet) 48 port gigabit switch for classroom?
nathan3388 replied to matthewls's topic in Wired Networks
It may be cheaper to re repatch all the network cables, how many cables go into the cabient i have got to move a cabient with 80 cables in it and fully thread 16 cables this is only about 2-3 days work at the max. May be cheaper for you to move the cabient. -
In the our nursery we have a smartboard at a low height and when the teacher writes on it they sit on a chair at the side and write on the board. with the projector and your ceiling are too high maybe look into getting extendable poles and attach the projector mount to that then that is problem solved. The projector will have even pan and tilt to be able to project from a good height does not have to be square on.

The Problem is sorted it was the SC9 Control board in the back of the board had a spare one to hand and replaced it. This solved the alignment problem.
