  14. There are several things to watch out for. Once you have created the cas array you will need to change the rpcclientaccessserver setting on all the existing databases to reflect the new cas name. I have has issues with outlook not autodiscover ing and picking up the new cas array name. Easiest way to force this is to create a new database and move the mailboxes. This forces an autodiscover. 21. Hi On our default recieve connector someone has set it to allow recieve from email range 0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255. This is not ideal so i want to create a recieve connector to add certain ip's to as a 'relay' connector. So my question, how can i log the IP addresses of machines which are currently sending mail through the default connector?? I can then add these to the new relay comnnector and remove the range from the default connector. Any ideas? Thanks nick
  22. I would do as Sukh says and create a new database to move the mailboxes into as this will eliminate the white space. One thing to bear in mind though mailbox moves in exchange 2007 are offline moves. This means that the users will not be able to access the mailboxes whilst they are being moved. I believe others have said they are online, this would be correct for 2010 but not 2007. Nick
  23. Logs and databases should NOT be on the same Hard drive. This is because writes to the log file are sequential, whereas writes to the database file are non-sequential. If they are housed on the same disk you may see a performance impact. nick
  24. i have used doubletake availability, decent product actually
