  1. Have a good un
  2. I didn't think it was good as some of the episodes in series 1 and 2 but still enjoyed it. They are currently still in production for the film and were over in Malia filming during the summer holidays.
  3. I've seen this happen randomly to quite a few users using Office 2007
  4. We use Schoolcomms - no problem with them, but I may investigate alternatives when our annual contract is up to see if there any cheaper alternatives available.
  5. We use the CRB Biometric cashless catering system - very little if any problems with it in 3 years.
  6. I bet you all had a good afternoon - thinking of words to add to your list )
  7. Yep, same here for our Year 7 students each year. For our Sixth form they all get their photos taken for their ID badges then we add the photos manually to their user details page - never had any issues with file or image sizes - although the quality is greatly reduced when imported.
  8. I guess we've just been lucky - got around 8 or so of these across the network in our suites shared via on our Windows 2003 Print server - no issues with them in the 3 or 4 years we've had them
  9. We've just started some BLP thinking thing across the whole school with our students - it's about giving the students the skills to get on with it independantly. If its good enough for the kids its good enough for the staff I think - so we've created helpdesk videos for the majority of tasks now and when a member of staff asks us to do something now we will send them the link to the particular video and get them to do it themselves - its the only way there going to learn! Loved sending the videos out today on our first day back )
  10. If you haven't rebuilt it already perhaps a final "gpupdate /force" before you do.
  11. This is what we used and the reason I moved was partly down to the cost of purchasing the latest Symantec BackupExec agents as we were currently running 11D. The Yosemite solution comes with unlimited agents for around £1,000. It took some tweaking at first to get it to work - but I am happy with it now.
  12. Staff have had access to Youtube for around 12 months - as of tomorrow i'm giving our sixth form students access also - but will be throttling the bw used via our SmoothWall box.
  13. Thanks Tom - I'll drop you an e-mail.
  14. Yeah, I've had around £80 back from them - I do wonder though if I actually spend / purchase more as its so simple to use!
  15. We use it and it captures a lot of spam, but is also a little on the sensitive side. It's not particuarly pricey so is worth it in my opinion. Some observations though: You can only release spam from within the school (access via the internal IP) - makes it a pain for staff at weekends / during holidays. We get a daily spam summary per user but even if you have no spam captured you still get an e-mail to say you have no spam - so its basically spamming you to say this! I could be wrong and Tom may have a solution to the above - it may just be the way we have set it up.
  16. Wouldn't like to say to fix the above problem, but any package with this line will be the one it reboots straight after.
  17. You could add the line reboots=1 To one of the package .ini files that installs first time which will reboot the workstations which will in affect continue to install the missing RM LST packages etc.
  18. Sorted for you.
  19. We have sufficient admin staff on whole time contacts (5) who arrange their holidays between them so the office is always (wo)manned. The number of phone calls, visitors, worklmen, deliveries etc we get even during the holidays keeps them busy.

    I use mIRC still also.
  21. We have Cubase Essentials currently installed and have Cubase 5 to go on now. Does anybody know if theres a preferred way to deactivate / uninstall the existing software before we install Cubase - i'd then like in the future to install Essentials on other PC's across the school. Thanks
  22. Sorry yes, have a search on here theres loads to choose from.
  23. We have 2 or 3 different NETAC drives depending on which machines we are building at the time. It seemed to be the best option.
  24. Theres this one: Booking System Web Site. But if you do a search on the site theres loads to choose from, some even created by members here.
  25. I had planned to go on the course with XMA next week, but was canceled due to lack of numbers. I think the cost does put a lot of people / schools off.
