Terrific! I'm supposed to be getting mine tomorrow (no TV - just internet and phone). If you were to ditch their router / wireless and purchase a new better one (capable of 100MB and N Wireless) would you be allowed and are therere any recommendations? HBJB

I'm in exactly the same position having inherited the school next door's entire network on top of ours. Although the NT750 looks capable, I'm looking for a more advanced version that can generate reports that I can compile (acceptance testing effectively). I'd also like to be able to test the fibre (up to 10GB). HBJB

I know someone who's had two part worns blow on him - one shredded and one just sort of fell apart. He is a bit tight though so might have bought really cheap ones from the scrappy. I on the other hand haven't had to buy a tyre in about 6 years now because I don't keep my cars long enough to wear them out - I just get a new one + also I only do about 6 - 7K miles a year. I also have a skid warning thingy on my latest car and it went off when going around a particularly sharp turn a few weeks back. Maybe they're a bit too sensitive. HBJB

Not yet but mainly because I'm running late on a piece of OU coursework that's supposed to be in next week. Also my internet connection is virtually non existent at home (stupid BT exchange near me is falling apart gradually and I'm apparently on some dodgy piece of hardware - have got it moved now but haven't had the time to look at ICS). We only have two and I've not paid a great deal of attention to them but I've done the USB transfer thing successfully a few times (and yes you do have to download each book per Kindle). We don't connect them to wireless just because there's no need but if you do don't allow the one click thingy to buy books just in case. To be honest I do like to see them occasionally so I know their condition and I try to make bulk book purchases if possible. HBJB

Yes they can but we alread have one It seems the pricing is pretty similar with M247 and Global ASX. If going it alone you'd need a decent (preferably hardware) firewall, do your own NAT, change your internal IP range (if using an RM issued range currently) and get your own filtering solution in place that satisfies the required core filtering. Some (or all) are offered by suppliers as part of the packages. HBJB

If you don't mind me asking; what did you quote for and how much? We are asking for an upgrade from 10Mb to 100Mb but haven't had a price yet. Oh and the standard filtering is basic but OK (can't separate staff from students etc.) I guess you can buy their SmartCache box which I think does it but we suppliment it with a local Smoothwall box.
