A quick look on their website also suggests you can listen live online. Preston FM - Home

We only have 1-2 servers so at one schools I have Jupiter & Juno and at the other I have Zeus.

Best thing to do then would be to get a cat. They never foul on their own turf and it would keep other cats away.
-
Don't like cats then?

Thanks

Hi All, According to the capita document we've been sent SIMS.net client requires a 3GHz or higher processor. To me this seems a little high, especially as we have it running on considerably lower spec machines. Can anyone confirm this one way or another? Thanks, Dan

Hey All, We are a part of the MS schools agreement and still use windows xp. I'm sure I heard somewhere that to downgrade to XP I'd need any new machines to have a windows 7 pro licence? Is this true? Thanks, Dan

Printers again - not printing large image files

Do you have any kind of print logs with which you could find out the sizes of jobs that are failing and jobs that are going through and see if there is any comparison? -
What port number does minecraft use for multiplayer?

I see, in that case I don't think I've seen anything in booklet form. Obviously theres load of sites with that kind of info on them. Maybe make a pdf of certain parts of sites and invest in a kindle (or similar)

As an added point you can also tell your direction from the position of the sun. I believe the dock is to the south, you can often get your bearings from there.

I had this problem so I built a big tower with a torch on top. Can see it for miles now.

I'm all for the lake edugeek idea. But who will pay for my moving fees? My little hidy hole is in the area you propose to make lake edugeek. -
I was in same boat earlier. There some great YouTube videos on the mincraft website under help.
-
So how does one go about playing minecraft on the edugeek server?

I've used CPltd before for some Dell chargers. They were quick delivery and resonably priced.

Good stuff. It's good to know it's pretty much pickup and play. -
When I got RPC error my DNS settings for the statically assigned IP was set incorrectly. May be unrelated but worth a check if you haven't already.

Smoothwall Express - Have I got this right?
bladedanny replied to BatchFile's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I've never used DHCP on SW before so I can only offer my best guess (which comes with no warranty). I believe it only dishes DHCP out of the green interface so in theory you should be ok. Maybe one of the smoothwall guys could shed a bit more light. -

Great products, I really like the skoogmusic one. Although I'd love to know how much practise they guy playing Hot and Cold has had. -
I use DBattach via cmd line on a scheduled task. It's creating the .bak file ok. I also know in theory how to restore from this file. I just need to know if it has worked ok. My first thoughts are to try and install SIMS on a VM that's seperate from out main network and try the restore. Would this be feasible? Thanks, Dan

Simple one really. How do you verify your SIMS/FMS databases have backed up correctly? Thanks, Dan
