I don't really see it as a security hole at all as like you said it goes out to the main RBC filter which it would do anyway. I've also found this method useful so staff don't have to mess around with proxy settings if they take their laptop home.
-
What I did was, set up smoothwall express (I used a physical machine but it shouldn't make a difference). I then set my RBC proxy in the upstream proxy setting (on the smoothwall) and ticked transparent. Then on the device (Tested on a laptop just now) set my IP settings gateway to the ip of the smoothwall.
-
In theory. As long as you can change you IP settings some how (either locally or via DHCP) so the gateway points to your transparent proxy which in turn has your RBC proxy set as the upstream proxy.

We use OsTicket. No AD integration but it's dead simple for staff. You can even pull down tickets from an email (as you can with many).

Created my worgen mage, Silgan on Agamaggan

I agree with this. If somethings slightly more but comes with good support/delivery then that's the one we go for.
-
If not, what I've done for some non-proxy equipment is set up a transparent proxy using smoothwall express then just set the IP gateway to the smoothwall. So far works ok.

We have to supply three quotes for anyting over £1000. I also always feel bad asking suppliers for quote and they never end up getting them. Again it usually ends up been CP that get the business.

Hi all, Is it possible to change the name of a windows 2003 domain? We dont have exchange just three servers (Two DCs and SIMS). Thanks, Dan

Quite adictive actually. I found myself pressing space between words and if i knew I'd pressed thr wrong key I ended up pressing backspace.

It doesn't happen to be a Dell does it? I had a very similar issue the cause of which was the Dell printer status service crashing and was unable to be stopped. A quick cmd to force stop the service brought the server back to life without a restart.

The worgen starting zone is awesome, best of the lot imo. I'm either going to go Holy Priest or Mage, dunno which spec though.

Tried it with the kids yesterday. They seemed to really like it, and some of the games looked good for building mouse skills etc. The only thing I found is if a child who has trouble reading they will need supervision to explain what to do, but the level of reading needed is very low.

I'm happy to roll an alt on that server will be probably be a worgen but not sure what class, think I might try a healer as I normally stick to DPS. I'll post my character name once created.
-
I've seen loads of people do this too.
-
Doesn't look too bad. I've got it running on an old laptop and it look promising. I'm going to try it with the afterschool club kids this afternoon their ages range from 3-10 so should be a good little test. P.S. I've been having fun with the tux lemmings game too, but don't tell anyone ;-)

I might be way off here but it's not because they are inheriting permissions from the folder above is it?
-
If we were all re rolling we'd create our own guild no?
-
If you can't easy way to solve that would be to all roll on whatever server you're currently on. Providing it's not full and no one has any objections.
-
If paying monthly is getting to you, you could always buy WoW game cards from most game retailers. Then if you don't feel like playing for a month you just don't top up. If I know I'm not going to be playing for a month or more I'll cancel my monthly subscription, your characters and progress are still saved (although I'm not sure for how long).
-
I'd roll an alt on any server in an EduGeek guild.
-
TBH the iBoard doesn't look that bad and an iDuvet would be cool.
-
I'm not too sure what it does either. Are you getting any errors in C:\log.txt? Also if you haven't already try installing windows support tools or specifically netdom. As you said newer versions of the client don't need it, but as a troubleshooting excersise you could try installing it, that way you can eliminate that.
