  1. Only that the Click 2 Run and licensing is rather more arduous, especially on shared devices. But if your infrastructure works okay with it, an O365 install may be the logical step up from 2016.
  2. Wow, that’s really strange then! Is it possible to test with an install of Office 2019? (I fully understand what a massive pain 2019 is to deploy initially!)
  3. Do you use Exchange Online for email? If so, does the document load in the browser okay?
  4. Is the user actually signed into Word 2016 with their Office 365 credentials?
  5. Since Windows 10 S was changed from being a separate OS, to just a 'Mode' of Windows 10, you can switch across. https://www.hellotech.com/blog/what-is-windows-10-s-mode-and-how-to-turn-it-off
  6. As far as I can think - you'll need a mixer, or USB interface for each, for multi-mic input.
  7. Yeah, gutted. She was the sort of actress that stole every scene she was in. The fact that she did everything from Shakespeare to Doctor Who (one of my favourite episodes) showed her range and ability.
  8. Ah missed that - may have come at their website without the required attitude! It’s still beasty money though!
  9. Closest I can find is JL253A - quite a different beast - but Aruba don't seem to do a SFP+ port heavy switch until you get into the 6300 series (and you have to sell poor old grandma).
  10. I don't particularly want them to roast me for doing so, but I can if it's allowed! Basically - copy the folder across from Program Files (x86). Copy msvbvm50.dll from C:\Windows\SysWow64 (or wherever it may be on your old system) and put it in the truste folder. Copy NRS2000Cashless.INI from C:\Windows Paste everything into place on your new machine Register every DLL and OCX in the folders. If you don't copy msvbvm50.dll across then NRStill.ocx won't register and some of the controls won't work. You can use a batch file to do this, basically: @echo off for %%v in ("C:\Program Files (x86)\nrs\truste\*.dll") do ( REM (unregister) regsvr32 /u /s "%%v" regsvr32 /s "%%v" ) Repeat for each folder then for OCX too. The software should now work.
  11. Just as another bump - I've successfully moved the Trust-e software to another PC without any of the install files. It doesn't need any registry entries, just the DB settings in the C:\Windows folder and registration of the DLL and OCX files.
  12. While the videos may not be copyrighted (and you'd need to be certain of that) downloading the videos is against Youtube's ToS. As such, we're not going to be able to advise you on it! If you must access the videos, you may have to look at another solution.
  13. I’ve not seen this behaviour on a wide deployment of new and upgraded 20H2 installs, but I haven’t seen them on the latest updates.
  14. These sort of intelligent firewall can be a bit unpredictable. What works on one IP may not on another. Do you have a control panel to log in to, to see if there’s anything happening?
  15. Sky has Broadband Shield, which will block VPNs. Those ports will probably be blocked. Not sure with your ISP, but again I suspect you have a firewall ‘helping to protect’ you. We went through this recently!
  16. How is the Delegation tab in Group Policy looking? It’s not unknown for the permissions here to go a bit odd, and they could be wrong from the top down on a new build.
  17. We have a nice little PHP form that the students log into (via an LDAPS bind, local webserver) that lists their options (that I set in a DB table), then they can pick them. When they submit it, it adds them to the DB. We then pull the lot out and use a lookup table in Excel to translate their username and options choices back into a readable table, with counts etc to give class numbers. Neat little system, but if building something like that now I’d want it in Azure somehow.
  18. No. It's one chance and then gone. They tend to be the 'less able' students (they choose to use a school system to bully, swear at or abuse someonone else!) and they haven't been engaging on Teams as much anyway.
  19. It’s enabled here. I disabled it because it was getting thoroughly abused, but then realised that the teachers were using it to talk to pupils (I thought they were only doing this in the classroom Teams). It’s now back on, and disabled for individuals who abuse it.
  20. Startup script?
  21. As Steve21 mentioned - the IIS pool stopping can cause some very irritating issues. You tend to see that in the MMC also, but sometimes it just stops serving updates out.
  22. Is your new server in your proxy exceptions? I've had fun with that in the past.
  23. Install it on a 32 bit machine, then copy the Program Files (x86) folder and if necessary any registry entries across. Sometimes you can pull them out of the installer with 7-zip but that would be less likely here.
  24. Remember that data doesn't necessarily also mean DP alt mode. That may make a difference.
  25. Photoshop, Fireworks and Dreamweaver all get used here. Acrobat isn’t in the deployment. Embarrassingly, I may have still got Flash in there [emoji23]
