  1. Still fully on prem at my school, no inTune devices as of yet. Not looking forward to getting started with inTune if i'm honest.
  2. Im sure Private IP address is enabled by default on iOS devices, so that would be the case
  3. I have had a similar issue before when a group policy was attempting to map a printer which was offline. Are you mapping any printers at all? Are they reachable
  4. If it was me i would choose between the two (edge if you are a microsoft heavy school). No point managing two browsers like you say.
  5. I've opened a can of worms here it seems with my schools social media accounts... I'll try explain however this is the first time i've ever looked at facebook/instagram business pages so bear with me So.. Our school Facebook page has an authenticator attached to it & its causing problems. We do not have this authenticator, we believe it was set up by the old Marketing manager (who left at least 2 years ago i've been told). This facebook account is linked to an instagram account, so if a post is put onto Instagram, it feeds through to Facebook also. A member of SLT (who took over from the Marketing Manager) has access to the schools facebook page seemingly through their personal Facebook account (as in they are linked).. We have access to the Instagram account. I found an email trail in which the previous Marketing manager gave "admin access" to the school facebook during handover, however this doesn't seem to be the case with the member of SLT who does have access. Using their account, we are unable to access any security settings when logged in, so are unable to remove the authenticator. When attempting to re-gain access to the Facebook account (to remove the authenticator), it asks to submit some ID. We have tried this, along with invoices showing the schools address on however Facebook has rejected these. Anyone ever been in a similar situation & have any ideas? I'm kind of stuck here.. This has only come about as i've been tasked with getting some social media feeds to show on our schools website & have hit this roadblock
  6. If you get no joy, try looking on web.archive / archive.org.. fingers crossed someone has one for you though.
  7. SBB/TS connection here - been fine over the past few days. Seems to be netsweeper causing the issues? This is why I stuck with onprem filtering, i've heard nothing but problems with netsweeper.
  8. Is anyone aware of any other sort of funding available (besides Connect the Classroom, as we are not eligible) for WiFi refresh? We're currently not meeting standards & have no budget left. Currently we have UAP-AC-PRO (wifi 5) across site, with a software controller on a VM. We also still have about 5 100mbps switches left to replace, all are up to standard apart from these. If not we'll just have to carry on until budget replenishes - I suppose an option is leasing, but i'd rather not do that for this type of equipment
  9. Consider Mikrotik - specifically this model : MikroTik network switch L3 Gigabit Ethernet (CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+RM) (senetic.co.uk) : They also do a L2 one for a lower price. Use these at my secondary, not had any problems with them
  10. I'll be doing the same once we have A3 (hopefully this year..) InTune seems to be the way forward. MDT is a massive bodge job to get working with Win11, BUT it does work.. for now!
  11. I've got it working!! It seemed to be because I was missing this parameter "WindowsUpgradeAdditionalOptions" Value : /eula accept Added this to the upgrade TS & all is good. Here is the link, if it helps anyone else MDT in place upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 failing 0x80004005 - Software - Spiceworks Community
  12. Still the same unable to see the upgrade TS when booting from the litetouch PE I'm going to try a windows 10 iso to see if that makes any difference I have also just tried to run the TS direct from the litetouch.vbs on a freshly imaged windows 10 machine. The OS ugprade to win11 starts & then fails with a load of errors. Most obvious thing i can see is "Litetouch deployment failed, return code = -2147467259 0x80004005" From what i've read this error can mean a multiple of things, from BIOS/UEFI related issues to the OS installing onto the wrong drive.. Going to dive into the logs and hopefully see something there.
  13. I did not - I will reboot the entire VM & try again this afternoon
  14. Hey all - would just like to say this post has been extremely useful to me - so thanks for that I have followed the above steps & have been successful with using the latest ADK/ ADK winPE addons for Win11, with my previously created Windows 10 Task sequences. (woohoo!) Coming across a strange issue when testing a Win11 in place upgrade using a Standard Client Upgrade Task Sequence. I create a new Task sequence, select upgrade , import a vanilla set of source files from the latest Win 11 ISO & leave everything in the TS as default. I regenerate the boot image and replace in WDS. If i boot into Litetouch, i am unable to see the newly created upgrade task sequence, containing the Win11 wim. It's just not there. On my PC, if i browse to "\\MDTSERVER\Productionshare$\Scripts\litetouch.vbs" I am able to see the upgrade task sequence. *edit* I have never used MDT to perform an in place upgrade, so is this normal behaviour? I found a MS KB for upgrading from 7 > 10, and this states to browse to the litetouch.vbs location and run the TS this way.
  15. Been at my school for 3 years now. Not had a single IT audit. I just try my best to follow best practices & keep an eye on the dfe guidance
  16. Haha know the feeling Hmm not sure.. hopefully someone else can assist with that one. Hopefully you're on the right track now though!
  17. Well it wouldn't exactly be a duplicate in AD, as if this was the case, the new PC will overwrite the original object. You could test two laptops & ensure the names are different, to rule that out. I had a similar issue with some exam laptops before & was scratching my head at it for a good half hour, before I realised I had named two of them the same!
  18. Duplicate object in AD with the same name? Are you positive all of the new laptops have unique names? I've messed up before & named two PC's i was imaging the same & this caused the first one to lose trust, which makes sense because the object was overwritten. Worth checking.
  19. Definitely sounds like a summer job lol. Good luck with it
  20. You can use the export-dhcpserver & import-dhcpserver powershell commands to copy the config.. or as HyperTech said, im sure if you configure as a failover it replicates the config anyway?
  21. Try give them more permissions. Make a new directory, place the .exe in there & give more permissions to that directory
  22. I see where you are coming from. However, with the Windows 11 requirements, for most, the issue is either the Processor (requiring 8th gen intel or newer), or TPM 2.0. Not things that can be easily added. We have a fair few 7th gen intel machines which "arent supported".. its a shame as they run perfectly fine
  23. Probably, its one thing that i've never changed. Just changed IP address the .bat points to whenever I changed the main DC. It works so i've left it lol
