Pain in the A** Got there in the end

update : Managed to sort that issue by removing the doors & re-adding in Net2 Server config utility. I have now set static IP's on required doors However now I can't detect the doors on Net2Access Control. I can manually add them in by entering ACU serial & name, however shows as not responding. Is there something im missing here Update again! : now they're showing up again! Crisis over

Hi all, very strange one I have a door in Net2 which gets an IP through DHCP & shows as online in the Net2 Server Config Utility. I can PING the door, using the IP given from DHCP. The door does not show as reachable in the Net2 Access Control, this is either with the IP from DHCP or static. If I try to set a manual IP address (which is what I would want to do), this fails & the door then becomes unreachable. It doesn't matter what static IP i set, fails every time. The Net2 Server config utility briefly stops responding whenever I attempt to set a static IP, recovers & hangs at "Setting IP address" for a while - then eventually errors out. I'm going to try set a reservation in DHCP but i'm a bit lost here..

Schoolsbroadband, speed issues, connectivity?

My leased fibre line is through SBB, no issues to report as of yet -
Thats it. These are my settings & my tenant is unaffected. I don't want MFA enforced until I can get A3 licences sorted. We just use MFA on a per-user basis at the mo for IT staff/upper management

I have been asked to produce a map with pinned locations of all feeder primary schools on. First thought that comes to mind is making a custom map on google maps, and pinning them all on there, screenshotting and adding to a document, then print on A2. Does anyone have any other way they would go about doing this? I'm thinking that they may want the locations labelling too.

In our bookable IT rooms I tend to find keyboard/mice damage is the worst. (keycaps removed/swapped around with other keys, mice buttons damaged/ripped off).. I sometimes get notified by teachers if damage is found (depending on who's using the room, some dont bother). I have tried to put together a log system previously, however not all staff bothered to do it so I gave up. I have a stockpile of keyboards/mice I just replace them as they get damaged & that's how it is. At the end of the day it's a classroom behaviour problem, not mine. It is sad & it is a waste of money.

I use Enviro Electronics for WEEE collections. They take toner also.

Are you using ESXi? VM's should get the time from the ESXi host if this is the case (I believe you need VM tools installed). This is how mine is set up - I use both 0.uk.pool.ntp.org & 1.uk.pool.ntp.org as listed NTP servers on our ESXi hosts I have a login script set to run for ALL workstations to our main domain controller net time \\SERVERNAME /set /yes Seems to work great, not had any time sync issues at all. Worth checking some group policies for NTP on the affected machines?

Wow looks great. You'd catch me in there playing Counter Strike!

Here's mine, works with 365/2019 shortcuts. Very barebones. I do think the Teams one needs amending to show the "New Teams" however. Other than that its fine. I've been slowly replacing our old L2 Netgear/HP switches with these : https://mikrotik.com/product/crs354_48p_4s_2q_rm It's great to not need PoE injectors.. I'd never buy a edge switch now which wasn't PoE

I'll show you my XML for win10 start menu tomorrow morning. Mine has been pretty solid (did it about a year ago) My shortcuts still work from moving from Office 2019 > Office 365.

I had this exact monitor. After a year it developed a purple line horizontally across the display, which remained there all of the time no matter which refresh setting was used, or display cable. Contacted AOC & after a few back and forth emails they ended up sending another out.

I've just gone and enabled the following under WuFb GPO - Select the target Feature Update version : Windows 10 22H2 - Select when Preview Builds and Feature Updates are received : Deferred for 14 days - Select when Quality Updates are received : Deferred for 14 days Hopefully that does the trick, time will tell!

Sorry I meant an upgrade, not update. As in an OS upgrade. I know it has been a thing for a while, as they offered this with Windows 7 / 8.1 devices to jump to 10. I just know it will cause issues for places which just let the updates run with no WSUS/InTune etc.. I only manage Windows Updates via GPO, so believe I fall under the category "eligible" to receive this come April.
-
I'd imagine so. They've not moved the hardware requirements at all
-
Doesn't Edu fall under the same category is Pro, since it basically is Pro? Why do they feel the need to push out an OS update to an end user, with the ability to upgrade with no administrator privileges?
