I mean accessing 365 at all. It's not an issue for our students as we don't force student accounts to require a compliant device, so they can use the shared iPads no problem. Staff however we do force compliance, via the free Security & Mobility policy for iOS & Android - so they are unable to use the iPads to access 365 services as it asks to enrol the device into intune & the iPads are managed in Mosyle. You can add Mosyle as an MDM authority however you need Intune / Mosyle OneK12 licences to do this. : Set the mobile device management authority - Microsoft Intune | Microsoft Learn

It seems that this is possible (Beta feature) & requires both an intune licence on the Microsoft end, and a Mosyle OneK12 licence.

As per title is this possible? We have some iPads supervised via Mosyle, i'd like to be able to allow staff to use these to login to 365. The iPads are setup in multi-user mode & staff sign in using their managed apple ID Currently only have A1 and use the classic "Basic mobility and Security" policies to enforce compliance on iOS/Android devices

Check this one User > Administrative Policies > Windows Components > Windows CoPilot > "Turn off Windows CoPilot" - check if this is enabled/disabled If the hub sidebar is showing, you should see the Copilot icon Also worth checking 365 Admin > Microsoft Edge setings to see if there are any configurations in there

As TheRobins said, they are not fit for purpose, especially not as shared devices. We still have about 15 of them & I use them as exam laptops for word processing students

If the senso classroom mangement tools were consistent it would be a solid product. It's a shame as the other aspects of the platform are very good. Here's hoping V2 is better.

I've got the following exceptions for Pearson in our web filter ^([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?pearson\.com/ springboot-dev.priv.pearsondev.tech/ springboot-prod.priv.pearsonprd.tech/ I can't recall what the springboot ones are, but since adding these we have had a lot less problems.

This is what i do in a nutshell, has worked well for the past 2 years. On a test machine, install EWP & use the config editor GUI.exe to adjust settings as required. Deploy EWP to required machines Deploy the "ExamWritePadSettings.json" file via GPO to the exam machines EWP directory " C:\Program Files\ExamWritePad ". I set this to run on every login of our exam user accounts to ensure any changes are always applied to the end user machines. As for other GPO settings, i just set "run only specified applications" & set this to examwritepad.exe & any other required software. Access to settings etc all restricted.. the usual stuff.

Hi all, I'm sure this has been asked before but what are best practices for logging into Windows Servers? I've been on my own for a loong time, i've just been using a generic admin account for logging into all of our VM's & I know thats not ideal anyway.. With an apprentice due to start in a couple of weeks i'm wanting to obviously change this for when they are ready to hop on the MDT VM for example, or our Print VM etc.. I don't want multiple people using the same account. I'm thinking of having their normal user account, which is their daily driver on their machine (no admin access besides local admin on their machine), then having another user account such as admin_%name%, which would have permission to login to the VM's & also have various permissions on those VM's to do their work. What would you do/do you do?

Time is ticking...! I believe the Win10 ESU are cheap for education customers. Last I read it was £1 per device for the first year, going up by a pound each year (up to 3 years). We will be buying some ESU, to buy us more time to replace our remaining IT suites

I know your struggles, i was on my own in a secondary for nearly two years. I would just re-image the machine honestly, it's far quicker to do that than spend time troubleshooting an issue like this. Especially if you have a MDT / SCCM setup, or some other form of imaging.

I've had this before on the odd machine, as above it seemed to be a user profile issue. Either re-image or remove all the local profiles Do you use Applocker? I know if you don't have the default rules set this can break the start menu, among other things

Probably better options but I just use OneNote, works well for me. I'm not in a Team either so no need to share with anyone. I have various tabs for Todo, reminders etc..

If it's an option, migrate the remaining mailboxes to 365 & shutdown the exchange server forever. Don't uninstall the exchange role as it's also tied into a lot of AD stuff, and will end up breaking other things. Best to just switch it off & keep it turned off. Keep the VM & maybe keep a backup of the VM also. Once it's shut down, make sure you change MX records/connectors etc to mail is not pointed to your on prem mail server anymore. You can manage 365 exchange via Powershell ( Connect-ExchangeOnline ) if you install the Powershell module. I'm sure there are other GUI tools out there too.
