We just added all the teachers in rotation for the whole year as owners to the teams manually. Wont harm them to have a few extra teams.

Hi all Annoying issue that I been looking to resolve but I have exhausted my google know how. Whenever a new teams is created it defaults it regional settings to English US which has a knock on effect when opening online documents with formatting dates etc. I can see you can change the locale settings under share point / site settings / regional settings after the team has been created... ... however does anyone know how I can make these setting to default like below image These are the settings I set on the top level share point page thinking they would inherit down but on testing it always defaults to the 1st image attachment. Iv seen forums dating back a few years of people experiencing same symptoms but not found any resolution other than a script workaround which I am not keen on implementing. Connect to exchange online in power shell and run a message trace get-messagetrace -status failed | get-messagetracedetail You can use other filters to narrow down also but It will give you the reason for why each failed Message trace will only return up to 10 days history by default.

Good evening Before we moved our exchange mailboxes in to exchange online the email address in AD was written back to when the mailbox was created. Now we have move all mailboxes in to exchange online this attribute is no longer automatically populated. We use AAD sync and We have a third party that syncs it database based on this field in active directory and it causes problems with their sync when a new user is created in ad, unless we remember to manually enter the email address of the user. Is this a limitation of exchange online not syncing back to ad or have i over looked a write back setting in adsync TIA

Not used it in a while and I could be wrong but Salamanda as far as I know doesn’t create sims users in bulk. Op is looking to creating sims users on mass. Rather than create ad users based on sims which yes salamanda can do

Just bumping this so I don’t lose it as I have seen something which creates user accounts in sims or something like that. I’m sure it is in one of the predefined sql scripts that is within the database but one, I can’t remember what is is called and two whether it was a user creation script on mass or individual accounts. I’m back at work on Monday and will have a look. Work you way through the sql scripts within the database, there’s loads but you may be lucky to find it.

Thanks for all the input. It says something when the bbc responds to you quicker than the schools isp. The bbc detect that the up address is affiliated with a VPN service called ivacy. Waiting for the schools isp to comment having passed the bbc email on to them to investigate. Thanks all. I’ll let you know how I get on

Hi all I have a problem where bbc.co.uk videos are saying they are not available in my location. I noticed that bbc.co.uk redirects to .com and when I review the schedule on the bbc it is giving me the North America schedule. I have reached out to our ISP but they claim the up address is registered correctly in the Uk I have also confirmed this by going on various what’s my IP sites and they all return my IP is as my ISP say registered in the Uk I have hit a dead end at the moment as the symptoms described above have been happening between anytime after March where we got locked down to about a month ago when the complaint started coming in. Today I still experience problems on the BBC website consistent in all browsers. We have a smoothwall proxy which I have tested a computer with a web filtering exception in its ip One more thing it only seems to be the bbc website. Using sites which use location services seem to detect me where I should be Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated TIA

Simple task it seems but are there any gotchas that will surprise me by changing a tenant admin to a normal user other than loss of privilege to the admin centre Context HT is an office 365 admin and no longer wants to receive the million of notifications you get as an tenant admin. Can see any way of removing HT from the recipients as all notification alerts are emailed to tenant admin. HT has agreed he doesn’t need this level of access. TIA

We found a conflict with netsupport which forced them to acknowledge the bug after they manage to replicate the symptoms. A new update has already been released. This seems to have resolved the issue in our test environment and no further reports have been raised.

Good Afternoon, I am looking to understand how the safeguarding reporting works and how certain activity is flagged. The setup i have in place works, however i have questions to how smoothwall determines what is classed as a safeguarding concern. eg i had a student google the attached photo which was categorised as personal weapons but safeguarding didnt pick it up. Phrases have been purposely not been included in the body text for fear it can then be searched on Any guidance welcome

These are xlsx and Xls files, doesn’t matter where it is opened from eg network or local and who it is opened by eg domain admin, restricted user Other office applications don’t seem to be affected. All the sites We manage are patched to the same level and only this site shows the symptoms. It’s a newly deployed site via config manager. New sccm new ou structure with company standard group policies we deploy everywhere. Its really strange because I can’t find the difference between this site and another. I’m hoping it just an oversight but our technical consultants are swamped at the moment and will eventually get back to me but was hoping if anyone had any ideas that I could pursue maybe I don’t have to wait as long and resolve it TIA
