  1. I use KRCS & pay £5, also were much cheaper than my previous supplier for iPads.
  2. Would also reccomend Boxphish via NetCtrl, the training is pretty good and some of the simulations are very well done. Also allows you to send additional courses/simulations on demand.
  3. It's a tricky situation unfortunately, especially considering the conflict of interest. I'm guessing the Office interior design budget is more important, any carpets been purchased recently? Educated guess. I'd definetly be trying to get feedback from the MSP on their thoughts on this situation. Then some articles about the risks, a few examples of ransomware hitting schools and the consequences. If anyone moans about the computers to you, 'I had planned to upgrade these, I was blocked from doing so. If this is restricting your lessons/teaching, take it up with slt'
  4. Don't forget the dodgy consultant, I doubt he was cheap either!
  5. Thanks for this, I did find the second link earlier through a third party but it kept coming up with an error.
  6. Good morning, Does the shape the future programme still run? Been asked to provide evidence of a license to a supplier. Our shape the future expired last year and doesn't seem like the system is still running? Is there an alternative? thanks
  7. Could I ask what model you went for to get this? Thanks
  8. This was a little eye opening, going to have to contact my provider. Had a play on a pupil test profile and gah! If you search Power ai NSFW in google and go on the power users link, there's quite a few options. I'd say about half are blocked on Netsweeper, one or two I seriously expected to be blocked due to the naming.. undressai for instance was accessible and had nsfw pics on my screen!
  9. Headteacher here upgraded from a remarkable to a boox https://shop.boox.com/collections/all/products/noteair3 Can't confirm if it has that functionality but it should be able to have Word installed. Our AHT used to do offsite visits with an iPad and Logitech keyboard combo.
  10. Yeah the initial setup can be a little daunting! Some of the things I did which I'd assume all apply to Meraki You'd need an Apple push certificate which links Apple push to your MDM, I think I made a managed apple id in ASM and used that direct with Apple. https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Device_Enrollment/Apple_MDM_Push_Certificate Supervision identity - MDM download - add it to ASM. Volume Purchasing - ASM to MDM (Under payments & billing on asm) ADE deployment - Add a certificate both ways.
  11. I'd assume Meraki has the same functionality but in Jamf I have a device enrollment policy which allows me to skip the majority of a new iPad setup. - New device is purchased and added to ASM - Change MDM provider for the device in ASM to Jamf. - Device should now appear in Automated device enrollment in Jamf - Add default ADE policy to device. - Turn on device and add wifi. It then adds Jamf remote management & ade policy which skips majority of setup. - Device appears fully in Jamf - Assign profile/change name. Done. I only really use my mac mini for any older devices that aren't added to ASM on purchase (I.e refurbished Iphones) Looks possible in Meraki aswell https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Device_Enrollment/Apple_Automated_Device_Enrollment_(ADE)
  12. Used GreenIT the last two occasions, no charge. Though not sure if stuff like IWB's would incur a cost.
  13. Fortunately not had that, the pricing I have is 1.52 per month per device but 6months free if you commit to a year.
  14. How much are people paying for NinjaRMM? On the verge of going ahead with it but just curious.
  15. Conditional access is included seperately within Entra P1 and also A3 for Education.
  16. In our case it was the refresh rate that caused a very similar issue.
  17. Morning, Yes I believe so, I think mine come up all as 'disabled'. I had one user that kept having to do it while in school, took me a while to remember they were the guinea pig for 2FA before I implemented conditional access and I had enforced it on them.
  18. There is a Webfilter option near the bottom on profile options, only works on supervised devices. I've not used it before though.
  19. Would reccomend VeryPC, their Aspect AiO prices are very hard to beat. Our last purchase was just over £440 a unit, i5 12400, 16gb ram, 240 ssd, 5 year warranty.
  20. Jamf is great albeit it does not manage Android devices only IOS, I only have a couple of android phones that are currently unmanaged but not sure on an ideal solution for those bar Intune.
  21. Have bought quite a few Amazon refurb iphone 8's in the past for staff / trip phones etc. Usually £100 a time, if I need any more I'll probably grab the XS next time as I think the 8 has just hit it's IOS limit. Not had an issue so far out of about 20 bought.
  22. Never used Knox (Hell don't even think I'd heard of it!) but it sounds like the iPad might not be supervised? Alot of policies only apply if the device is in a supervised state.
  23. I prefer to be left alone until I need them, I don't mind the odd offer email etc. I've been hassled quite a bit by certain suppliers recently. The funny part was I recently asked some former colleagues of mine about the suppliers they use.. mentioned this specific supplier and despite having a different account manager. Exact same tactics, he even had 3 missed calls from them while we were talking!
  24. I use a local shop, £60 a time for current gen iPads. Probably done 5 in the last 2.5 years. So hard to justify warranty.
  25. I did not like the one today, Urgent Bett UK Christmas countdown what's so 'urgent' about it..
