What Do You Drive?

I think I will end end up keeping the Xantia. It is nice having that smug feeling knowing the money is in the bank, can park it any where and it can't lose any more value than it already has! '8)'

You will have a long wait if you hold on 'til it dies! (Unless, like me you do something dim) Mine last one had done 200k when the rad went in the pissing rain, dumped all the water and twisted the head before I spotted it.

So I went out and bought another one! The 2l HDi this time, comfortable economic and I can get VAST amounts of stuff in the back!

I had a saab 900 16v Turbo SE, superb machine (K Reg), last of the great Saabs. Full spec, leather metal sunroof aircon etc. What a car... incredibly quick, built like a tank (ask the sheep I hit at 60mph), and it had done 250,000 miles before I sold it. Thats the equivelent of driving to the moon!

I was torn when I bought this Astra...mine is a 5dr with 88k on the clock, and there was an estate with 86k on it, £50 less. Most IT bods round here seem to drive an estate..and if styled accordingly, they can look quite purposeful.

I reasoned an estate was probably not the best of the pair though-more likely to be tired. I was thinking of customising the astra a bit, but...I actually like it stock.

The Maestro had all electrics added, a power roof, Rover heated seats, PAS, uprated brakes and the digi dash with voice synth. Strangely, I'm not missing them much yet!

I'm tempted to get the "I read your e-mail" bumper sticker from thinkgeek though..or maybe "No, I will not fix your PC"

2.0 Litre Mondeo Zetec, nice Dark blue with Zetec-S bumpers :D

Used to have a 1.2 Clio, never buy a Renault.

Got it from new, the Airbag system broke, it had to have the engine wiring loom replaced twice and the throttle motor went (within the first year).

Also, and I know this isn't Renault's fault but after a service once the garage forgot to put the fuel pipe back onto the injector rail properly and I had petrol pissing about my hot engine bay for a while, nice.

I favour big Jap saloons - nobody loves them and they go for a song.

Currently in a Toyota Camry 3.0l V6 Auto in smoke grey, leather interior, aircon, electric everything, 80Gb mp3 player etc etc. Looks like a grandads car - but absolutely goes like stink. Love to see the faces of boy racers in my rear mirror when they try to burn me off :) - all day autobahn cruising at 120mph and you can still hear the music - cool.

Now here I was thinking that you lot don't suffer from the normal male obsessions - obviously I was wrong.

Does a Mitsubishi GTO float anyone's boat?

Im 23 and sadly drive a Citroen Xsara and yes its in the customary "old man blue"!!. Its got great economy but unfortunatly drives like a bar of soap on a shower floor.

Hopefully looking upgrade in the new year but I must admit the xsara is a good car.

The Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT is a gorgeous car. I looked into buying one more than once but was put off by the 3.0 Twin Turbo running costs (40 min journey to work and back 5 days a week) and the stupidly high insurance costs :(

So I bought my old man car (Rover 75 as seen above) which I love.

I'm impressed with how clean everyone's cars are, so I have found a picture of mine looking horrible! :)

The problem is the wife has nicked it and I've got her little Corsa 1.4 SRi (54 Plate) face lift model.

Here's my car with my sig.
