I posted yesterday about a profile problem which has not yet been resolved. Basically i can not create or use roaming profiles. I can use a mandatory profile that defaults to classic start menu for some odd reason but folder redirection wont work with it. Local profiles work fine with folder direction and the share folder has all the right security credentials. Is there any reason why roaming profiles would suddenly stop working? its racking my brain because everything seems to be setup right. Can anyone give me advise on anythinhg that could be acusing this. Cheers

yeah i have tried that also and didnt work. oddly now as well i cant create any new profiles, i.e when a create a new user and type in the new profile path it wont work, Its as if all porfile capabilities have just stopped working or its something really simple that im missing!

Right i think this is a strange one so bear with me. On two completey seperate networks profile roaming has suddenly stopped working. It was working perfectly before but now on both when users log in it comes up with the little box saying that the profile can not be loaded because of network or security issues. all the security is set correctly, network connections are fine. I have tried recreating the profiles and even using them in test enviroments with brand new group policys and still nothing. Its very odd that no matter what i try no sort of roaming profiles whether mandatory ts or normal do not work. any ideas would be welcome?

Im based at a secondary school but am shared out between 12 primarys. No remote access to any of them so involves a lot of travelling. Different technologies and age of equipment also adds to the fury but I do enjoy the varied experiences. Is all set up through our specialist school status. Attend the primarys on a 1/2 day slot shared out over the week and four of the schools on a 2 week rotation.

Excuse my lack of knowledge but could you please explain more about annonymos logins? I understand what they are but how do I disable/enable them or is it up the provider?

Think its the connection from this end. Can access it from other schools on the same ISP. Can ping the proxy that hosts the site also. Have noticed that the server running MS Server 2003 doesn't have any ftp services installed. Not wanting to sound stupid but is this where the problem lies??

I keep getting thi smessage when trying to access the schools FTP pages for their website. An FTP authentication failure occurred while trying to retrieve the URL: ftp://www.thirsk-pri.n-yorks.sch.uk/ Squid sent the following FTP command: PASS and then received this reply Login incorrect. ISA appears to be set up right. Any help would be much appreciated.

All google images are filtered out here in North Yorkshire. We can access yahoo images though.

Im 23 and sadly drive a Citroen Xsara and yes its in the customary "old man blue"!!. Its got great economy but unfortunatly drives like a bar of soap on a shower floor. Hopefully looking upgrade in the new year but I must admit the xsara is a good car.
