Hi All

Was wondering what visualiser is the best to buy. We are going to be using it within a primary school to enlarge the text so the children can see, but was wondering which are the best to enlarge and give a clear image so the children can read the text off the project.

Thanks

I hate them, its just another layer complexity to go wrong. The number of times I have been out to sort out visualiser problems is ridiculous, if staff want them they should have to prove they can install them first.

Depends really .... if you want an actual visualiser then steer clear of the Easi View things as they are simple document cameras mounted on sticks!! - There are several entry level visualisers including both models mentioned in the thread so far as well as this Document Camera, Document Cameras, Genee Vision 100, Genee Vision 150

hope that helps?

What's the difference between an expensive visualiser and the easi-view ones then?

They are all cameras with lights, on sticks. Some plug in via USB, some have VGA output too. I have yet to see something that a more expensive model can do that the easi-view + laptop can't?

My other school had an expensive one and a bunch of these - Easi-View Visualiser for Schools

We couldn't see any difference in quality of the image!

my experience with them is they are poor about 1/2 the ones ive seen wont focus properly and you need to have them plugged in to install the software they are a pita and wouldnt recomend them to anyone

we tested Aver's and the Elmo L-1ex .. The elmo won as the software was easier to use and the device less ugly and easier to use.

Bought a bunch of them, can't say I have seen one in use in 18 months.

We just got an Ipevo ZiggiHD, only £76 on Amazon. Quality is fab, and it's so good vs. price that we're waiting for the first problem to show up (but so far, nothing).
