  1. You might aswel do a straight upgrade to Server 2012 rather than having go through server 2008 and then eventually (whether its sooner or later) to 2012..
  2. The only disadvantage I think is the location if you travel by train. Apart from that its an excellent place Dulwich. I've worked in a high school in Dulwich and found it difficult to get there by train but by car should not be a problem at all.
  3. I just need links for quotes. not for advertising I got this so far Projector Repairs, Cleaning & Maintenance | TP Matrix Projector Repairs Who's the other three? urls
  4. Where are the four places Marc? Edu I wouldn't bother sending them away as it will cost double the amount of cost for cleaning. I just want to get a quote for cleaning, i intend not to go ahead with the cleaning service due to the fact that I dont see the point if you have burnt prisms and the projectors are over three years old.
  5. Hi all Edugeek members, Does anyone know if there is any Projector Deep clean services in the London area? cheers
  6. Guys, After re-installing Office 2007 I have noticed that the spell checker is not working! When I type in an misspelled word or sentence the redline does not occur. Can anyone help me? I did not have this problem previously...
  7. I've found this on Angry Technician, perhaps its worth giving it a try. You have to gamble sometimes to achieve in life. Cleaning dust ingress from the Sanyo PROxtraX PLC-XE31 « The Angry Technician
  8. Right, I've opened up one of the un-used projector. I took of the top cover and now I can see the circuit board. What's the next stage guys? I'm no projector expert by the way. I don't understand some of the terminology mrwobbly mate
  9. Hmm, Perhaps I should do some research on the NEC/Hitach projectors aswel then.. I need something which is not expensive but can last a long time. We don't have a huge budget. I need it for few classes. I don't want to purchase bulbs anymore because you dont get that same quality when the projector was newly purchased. The quality (output) degrades over the time its being used so even if you install a new bulb it does not make a difference anymore (well just a tiny little bit) to these Sanyo XE-30s'.
  10. Thanks for that. I don;t know if I can take the LED path as I need to replace most classroom projectors. Whats the lamp life of these xe34s when bought?
  11. Hi All, I am planning to purchase a few of these in the future because our old school projectors are just way to old and have poor (degraded) quality to be kept. They are close to there end of lives! and I don;t want to buy light bulbs for them anymore. This is the projector I am thinking about currently PLC-XE34 Has anyone bought and used one of these in a school? Anyone got reviews or experience on these Sanyo XE34s' please? thanks
  12. Hmm thanks alot guys very useful info. Will get working on to it
  13. Right guys, I have two network printers, one is the main printer for the classes to print to and the second printer was purchased early this year. Now my question is can I set the secondary printer so that only specific users (staffs) can see it and at the same time hide the main printer from them...? I will need the 3 classes to see this new printer and exclude the main one from them. Is this possible? And also these settings involve modifying the GPO ? we currently use server 2008R2, help and guidance needed please, thanks
  14. Well I've opend up the printer today and it was crushed some how. The Cardboard box was fine, just the printer itself was a complete wreckage. Someone must of dropped it thus being broken in to pieces and then must of decided to put it inside the carboard box (packaged) and then went on to the pallet! This printer came from Netherlands factory by the way. Its not a courier fault but factory faulty, something dodgey has been happening at the other end (Rotherdam) Spoken to Ricoh and they won't be sending out a new printer until they collect and recieve the currently wrecked printer! which is shame because I was trusting a well respected brand in printing..
  15. No one can't help
  16. wahooo! I powered my PC on remotely, now my question is how secure is "Logmein" guys? And Would I be able to do a port forwarding on a different Port No and make this Wake -On-Lan WOL work? I think port 9 will cause a security issue on my network. Someone could penetrate the system throught port 9?
  17. What will I need? because I will be sending the magic frame over the Internet Steve? Some app?

  23. Thanks for the link Arthur was looking for this info. I think Ricoh hides RAM specification for it's printers. This printer supports an SDRAM then?
