we have the exact same method of transport :)

how do you find the suspension? or lack of it :p

when did you get it yours? (could possibly find this via reading the thread but its home time so in a rush :p)

any extras? i've got the satnav / bluetooth hands free stuff built into the dash/steering wheel which is nice but i probably use it once every 3 months :p

Picked up a '60 plate Peugeot 207 1.6HDI 92 Sport at the weekend. Fantastic so far, pretty quick with smooth acceleration.

All the gimmicks:

Auto dimming mirror, auto lights, auto wipers, all one touch windows, usb/bluetooth/3.5mm, climate control, leather steering wheel, trip computer.

Been getting average of 56mpg since Saturday so brilliant economy wise too :-). Will post pics at some point.

I do like the new civics. Did you think to fit your drivers side mat properly? :p

There's nothing like a long journey...whacking the cruise control on, at say 70mph, and sitting back and enjoying the drive!

Everything about this car is sweet!

And it is the first car I've ever had where the stereo controls are on the steering wheel!

(Talk of not being paid enough....I only got it because of help from my Sister!)

Agree with the CC, I LOVE it I use it all the time now, still getting used to the rain sensitive wipers on my new car very smart technology but a bit of getting used to as its weird to just let you loose vision then it kicks in and is great (need to find the right level of sensativity) but the parking system is ace :) Oh yeah the Leather seats are really nice and comfy :)

As for being paid too much, decided i'm never going to afford a house round here so blew the house deposit and got some finance as well to get it :( Baked Beans for me for a few years

I personally dont find it that bad. My last car had pretty tight suspension. Although i have only had it nearly a week and only done about 180miles so i may yet change that opinion!!

Nope no extras as such just the pure car, prefer it that way tbh, more to go wrong and adds weigh ;)

Yeh the mats an old one and its really mangled up i have to pull it back out right all the time. Was going to buy some proper Civic type R ones from honda until i saw the price!! (£110+) so going to order my own mats and personalise them online!!

Still liking my Peugeot 308 despite the few faults I've had with it. Regularly get over 550 miles to one tank (diesel).

I'm thinking when I want to get a new car I've been considering the new Astra diesel eco one. Hot knife through butter for diesel acceleration, massive MPG and looks pretty neat inside and out. either that or may actually stick with a 308 but get one with all the options i wished i'd got in the first place!

I just ordered some fitted 207 mats from Ebay for £20 including shipping. You can also get branded 107 Verve mats for that.

I know they are not official but maybe something like this? Ebay

Those look alot better than the ones i had found and cheaper!! Thanks!!

No problem! I find Ebay is great for cheap alternatives like mats, phone covers, cables, kidneys etc...

Picked up a new 11 plate Volvo C30 SE 1.6 Start \ Stop last week.

Got it with metallic black, parking sensors, heated seats and bluetooth

Enjoying the 30 mile stretch of the A19 with the cruise control and my fuel bills being halfed at the moment.

The black was filthy after 2 days though :/

almost certain you can find the official honda type R ones for about £40-50.

re: weight comment in other post - a good point if your not a traveling IT tech with laptops, pcs, tools and cables in the back :p :P

its an amazing amazing car, your enjoyment wont change between the 180 miles you have done now and 50,000!

if you are a forum lover, head over to Civinfo - Honda Civic Forum - quite a good forum for when stuff does go wrong!

if you just want to see a stacking carpark there is one in leeds (contract parking so you cant put yours there but you can watch it stack cars until you get bored

Ooooh sounds good to me but I like the idea of going with the key and entering some info and out appears my new VAG Car guess thats just me

eBay for car mats is common, just looking for some genuine VW ones for the Tiguan as my early 2000 Passat mats really don't fit / squish into the foot-wells on the Tiguan as for a start its accelerator is a floor hinged pedal rather than the top ones like the clutch thus the mat can press the accelerator a bit :(

Just had to fill the new car up fully today (only done odds and sods before) and feel it in the wallet £84 worth of fuel  returned about 36mpg which for the size of vehicle and the fact its not use to my driving (its far to smart for its own good) and i've been booting it a bit for fun to see how pokey it is etc thats not bad at all :)

Not sure I'd say I'd never have another black car, but I have the same filth/stone chips issue on my Focus. Apparently silver is the way forward to avoid this, but pretty much every other car is some variation of silver at the mo...
