6Foot2 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 My Berlingo can not be relied upon now so we are looking at a Vauhall Zafira [very practical!]
rhyds Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Spent yesterday at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, which was nice... Got to drive a Rover SD1 Vitesse (3.5 injected V8), which was even nicer
Sirbendy Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 My Berlingo can not be relied upon now so we are looking at a Vauhall Zafira [very practical!] Zaf? Good call. One of those moved my sofa and fridge this weekend. 1.9TD..and the sports pack suspension is startlingly good.. Although, the MIL has an automatic Nissan Note..and if you can overlook the "frog" eyes appearance, it's tiny but with masses of space inside.. It took 1 Zaf, 1 Note, and several trips in the arsetrap to move everything to the new place.
K.C.Leblanc Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Chrysler Neon here, very cheap to buy. Parts are expensive, but so far I've only needed tyres.
fafster Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Mitsubishi Colt 1.5 DI-D. It has a reassuring amount of power there for when you feel the need to race 18 year olds in their Novas.
Butuz Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Oooo a car thread how did I miss this. I love cars Heres my baby that ensures no matter what job I have or how much I earn I am still skint: http://photos-c.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v125/56/0/653621988/n653621988_176722_2268.jpg http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v125/56/0/653621988/n653621988_176723_2584.jpg Almost finished rebuilding the engine at the moment though so driving around in the old faithful red rocket at the moment. http://www.parkovka.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/02/Mazda_323f.jpg Butuz
Dos_Box Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 (edited) I had to get rid of the Volvo T4 as It was too low and sporty so I kept bashing the kids heads when putting them into their seats. So I part exed it for one of these: http://irishcar.com/ICOimages/scenicrx41.jpg A Renault Scenic RX4. Its diesel, has masses of room inside and sits very high indeed. It's just like driving a truck again Edited March 9, 2008 by Dos_Box
m1ddy Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Nice R32! (not the crappy golf) . I love skylines! Also nice to see a few people driving Hondas. You aint had fun in a car until you have experienced VTEC . I just ordered myself a Civic Type R EK9. They were never released in the UK so I have to wait 2 months for it to float across the pacific. Still, 185bhp from a 1.6ltr normally aspirated engine, can't moan . Oh and it revs to nearly 9000rpm. RAH http://www.civictyper.de/bilder/modelle_ek9/CTR_EK9_1997_007.jpg

It does for what i need, although i am planning on getting the New corsa california before the insurance is due for renewal, it cost be 2100 quid for insurance this year, and that was 3rd party fire and theft. It was my first car like!

ICT_GUY Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 When I lived in the states I had one of these. 1974 Ford Maverick Photographs. High Resolution, Wallpapers, Destop Images. 41974 .1 straight six, more holes than metal, two tone (bottom I used to spray before going out to hide the new rust. Fun though, even without an exhaust pipe.

Paid_Peanuts Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 A rather boring MkIV golf ferries me back and forth to work during the wet months. Its when the weather gets warmer this little baby comes out: http://www.phillipmccallen.com/new-bikes/ProdImages/DAYTONA675B.jpg thats when the fun starts!
john Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I fancy a bike but I'd be lethal on one as I'm supposedly lethal with me GTI, but my motto is I bought the thing to get me to get about but it doesn't have to be a boring journey. I live in the countryside with funky windy quiet roads for fun and enjoyment of driving and the GTI makes that, its defo the best car I've had for throwing into corners (I blame the rally day I did for it honest!)
gaz350 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 (edited) http://www.broemmler.de/img/350Z_Farbe_A53.jpg thats my baby, for now, really really really going to miss it when it goes, insanly fun car to drive. will be getting something more sensible in a few weeks/month (for various reasons!) need a quick sale but will probably end up trading it in (going for £11k i think March 04 with 54k miles) edit: dam middy just realised this is an ancient thread and i think i posted in it before anyway cars still up for sale!!! Insane as in like fighting a proffesional boxer for a laff? When I test drove a couple they were mental, the backend would step out with the slightest oppertunity and they breaks would only work when warm. Sounded amazing tho but never good as a day to day car.
