X-13 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 I'm sure you play alot of games, but we all have our all time favorites. What do you generally find yourself going back to time and time again? Personally, I go back to pokemon. [yeah yeah... It's childish, but I like it. ]
SYNACK Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Deadspace, I find it calming to be in an environment where your task is well defined and almost every problem can be solved by shooting at it. Real life is so much more complicated and there is no where near as much ammo lying aroung 1
Hightower Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Call of Duty - if ever I get stuck on Fallout, or bored of FIFA it's Call of Duty that I fall back to time and time again
X-13 Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 there is no where near as much ammo lying around Maybe not where you are...
LosOjos Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 I've absolutely killed hundreds of hours on CoD in it's various forms over the past few years, but one game I always end up going back to when I want to play a really good game is Final Fantasy VII - best game ever (IMO)
Haptic Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Deadspace, I find it calming to be in an environment where your task is well defined and almost every problem can be solved by shooting at it. Real life is so much more complicated and there is no where near as much ammo lying aroung Deadspace is by far the gnarliest game I have ever played, however I found it far from calming (projector, headphones, low lighting and no-one else in the house) I found myself 'bricking it' from start to end, awesome game...pre-ordered the sequel...not long now! Joe
clarky2k3 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Championship Manager 01/02, best championship manager game! You can get it free now!
SYNACK Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Deadspace is by far the gnarliest game I have ever played, however I found it far from calming (projector, headphones, low lighting and no-one else in the house) I found myself 'bricking it' from start to end, awesome game...pre-ordered the sequel...not long now! Joe I have also, preordered the sequel impatiently expecting it about 10 hours from now I first played through it from 10pm on a 50" with home theater alone at home till I finished it. It took a while and when I finally finished I turned the TV off and could still hear the metalic rasp of the characters breathing. It has epic atmosphere, Bioshock 1 + 2 along with Alan Wake come close but just cant match it in my view.
JoeBloggs Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 C&C Red Alert 1... getting it to work on Windows 7 though proves difficult. Diablo2... Installed that again the other week it's pretty fun. WoW... played since vanilla on & off... Counter-Strike... played since before Steam always good to shoot some people in the head! consoles always back to fifa/proevo
Haptic Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Bioshock 1 + 2 along with Alan Wake come close but just cant match it in my view. Just 10 hours? Sweet...really looking forward to it, the design of the environs and Necromorphs are hideously beautiful
SYNACK Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Just 10 hours? Sweet...really looking forward to it, the design of the environs and Necromorphs are hideously beautiful It is released here on the 28th, first couriur pick up is at 8am and first delivery after that starts at 11am for this area unless they sent them out last night. They may run out and I could end up being horribly disapointed and waiting but I am hopeful. Played the demo for it off XBL and it looks beautifully horrible, much more detail than the first one and this one has multiplayer too. I guess I still go back to MW2 on occasion if I want a raw shooter but Deadspace has to be my favorite.
difinity Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Unreal Tournament and Unreal Tournament 2004
kevbaz Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Settlers not a fan of the newer ones, but III or IV will do just nicely! also looking forward todeadspace2, 1st one was grrrrr eat
3s-gtech Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Unreal Tournament (original). Such an old game, but the flexibility of the grpahics options means it'll run at native res on anything, and it looks pretty in a blocky way!
Gerry Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Diablo 2 - always installed (we'll see what happens when D3 comes out...) Rollcage Stage II (wish someone would remake/sequalize this again for todays hardware - I know there are similar games, but this one to me was the best) Giants: Citizen Kabuto (played it when it first came out, again around 4/5 years later, now thinking about it again)
AyatollahPies Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 GTA Vice City. Purely because I can spend hours not actually playing a mission, but instead ride a Hog down the beach front listening to 'Broken Wings' and other excellent 80's songs. It has been alleged that I often dress like Mr Vercetti, but the last person to accuse me of that got a Molotov cocktail thrown at his car and I did his wife, the poor bar steward.
korifugi Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 .....Final Fantasy VII - best game ever (IMO) Seconded - might look dated now but it really is the best game of all time... ...damnit, I still get angry when Sephiroth kills Aerith.
JJonas Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 At the moment its Pocket Legends for me between Lovefilm rentals or any-time im out of the house.
MK-2 Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 GTA Vice City. Purely because I can spend hours not actually playing a mission, but instead ride a Hog down the beach front listening to 'Broken Wings' and other excellent 80's songs. Same for me, though I go with GTA4 because of the size of the map, but its the pure freedom of it, not having to do a mission, kill anyone, you can just explore. Same goes for red dead redemption, explore and just wander without having to do set things
