maniac Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 **Looks out front door again** Nope, still not snowing. Can someone please direct it to kent!
elsiegee40 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 No sign of it in this bit of Kent either... TBH we probably won't get much, though it is forecast for Tuesday. I've a meeting in Cranbrook on Thursday morning; if anywhere gets snow round here it's usually there. I'll have to content myself with looking at the pictures from last December
Andrew_C Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Norra flake. BORING!! All I've got is 'flu. Bluergh....
elsiegee40 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Son says that 'everyone at school on facebook' says it's snowing except here... maybe we will get some.
denon101 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Just north of Newcastle, we have snow. Do we not, There was approx 8 inches of snow on my car on Saturday morning. I still managed to persuade my self to clean the snow off the car and go to the gym. Here is the view of the field from the car park as I was leaving on Friday. Bare in mind this was before the massive snow fall. Should be fun tomorrow!!
srochford Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 **Looks out front door again** Nope, still not snowing. Can someone please direct it to kent! When I was in Kent this morning it was snowing quite a bit :-)

ChrisH Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Got a light covering here but it will probably be gone by morning.
maniac Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Looks like Dungeoness that does from the style of house, surprised they get snow its a fairly grey place and that looks white! Oh I don't know; with the sun in the right position, Dunguness has a nice glow about it.
witch Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 No snow here. Cold but not stupidly so. *sigh*
Andrew_C Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Oh I don't know; with the sun in the right position, Dunguness has a nice glow about it. It could have a nice glow about it if some technician decides to disable some safety features during a routine test too!
kevbaz Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 (edited) No snow here. Cold but not stupidly so. *sigh* Snap, and whats more annoying is the bloomin cornish have snow! Hightower Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 We cleared our path yesterday as it's about 60 foot long so to make it easier to walk. Wake up this morning and it has another 6-8 inches on it. On the main paths which haven't been cleared we're up to 1 foot to 2 foot of snow in places. Main roads were clear yesterday but haven't been touched and are now covered, and I mean covered.
jcollings Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 We've got snow in Kendal but we are open as usual!
JJonas Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 We had snow here at 6.30 but we are open - not many staff in at the moment but a promise of more on the way (I think that is staff not snow)
Guest Guest Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 (edited) Well as per usual no schools in our borough are closed, well actually 2 are but hey. //Edit - they keep adding more schools (at 9.30! ), its up to 8. Got a good foot of snow now. Cleared my car off and tried to get off the drive... not a chance!! Snow day for me You can see how deep it is where i cleared half my car and took a pic. And thats only since Friday when I got home from work... ...and its still snowing and not expected to stop! Edited November 29, 2010 by Guest
webman Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Closed Front street at about 7am; and view of garage from kitchen window at about 9am: The car on the drive is relatively well sheltered compared to the rest parked in the street
HarryMonkey Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Nope. Nothing in this neck of the woods, just a good hard frost.
maniac Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Snowing hard in Canterbury, don't think it's going to last thou.
Haptic Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Well in Kettering it's just started coming down with a vengence- why oh why couldn't this have happened yesterday! Mark
mrcrazy04 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Officially my uni are open, however quite a few of the lecturers aren't going in. I've looked at the road and it's pretty treacherous, even though it's a gritted route. The bus company have decided it's impassable, and I saw a couple of cars having to be dug out after getting stuck when I went to the shops. This is how it looked at about 8 o'clock this morning. And here's one of the buses before the bus company decided it was impassable, it took about 3 minutes to travel along the road about 2 houses.
