Thanks - that’s perfect. Tells me what I needed to know. Sadly not quite enough money.

Yes - that is exactly the excuse that the cinemas use to continue to practice disability discrimination. So the new Bond film tickets are out - between Thursday of release and the following Monday - we have the choice of 1 showing at 1 cinema (Odeon) per day despite approx. 21 showings per day - no times at view despite 77 showings over that period. Not sure how that can be anything other than blatant disability discrimination
-
Or the easy option - just show all films with subtitles - you soon forget they are there if you don't need them and with some of the awful sound production or accents in some film it might even help you.
-
I will wait with interest to see how many subtitled screenings there are. We have constant issue in that my hearing impaired daughter can only access cinema with subtitles - usually they put only one or two screenings of 1 film (often on an afternoon or maybe Tuesday evening). I can't recall the last blockbuster we wanted to see but I recall counting from the Friday to the Monday of release weekend they showed it in about 6 screens from early morning to late evening they showed it something like 120 times - zero subtitled. We wanted to go to the cinema this weekend - 6 cinemas within a sensible difference - zero subtitled on Saturday and 1 film, once on Sunday! I know it isn't particularly relevant to most people but it is a situation that is frustrating for a lot of hearing impaired people and their families.

Might sound like a daft question but have you enabled Teams for students. It is on by default for faculty but off by default for students. Go to the Office 365 Admin Centre and slide the new admin centre to the left to turn it off (it will be to the right and blue when you first logon In the menu bar on the left expand Settings and click on Services & add-ins In the middle pane select Microsoft Teams Find Settings by user/license type. Select Students using the drop down arrow and move the slider to On Click Save and exit. Teams in now enabled for students

So far I have been told it’s a safeguarding issue, they could find me on Facebook and it’s unprofessional! Luckily it’s a trust wide convention and the trust are right behind me.

Dear All We have just moved our staff Gmail accounts to [email protected] rather than [email protected] Staff are now complaining that in the tab when they open gmail in the browser it now says Inbox - [email protected] so students are seeing their first name. All issues about not having email on the projector etc. aside is there anyway to change what appears in the browser tab? Thanks

We all work for the trust and IT is provided as a central service.

Hi everyone Just wondering if I can be a bit cheeky and save me reinventing the wheel. Our MAT consists of 1 secondary (1000 NoR) and 8 primaries varying in size from 42 to 400 on roll. I have spent several months bringing the services up to scratch and we are far from finished. Staffing wise there is me as IT Manager, 2 techies and 1 trainee servicing the schools. Does anybody who does something similar have an SLA they would share and any kind of evaluation form for the customer. I could write them but as we are pretty stretched for time it would be great if I could get some starting blocks to tailor for us. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

As a MAT we are moving to GSuite and Chromebooks (8 primaries and 1 secondary). We have done a lot of work with Getech. They lent us 30 for the whole of last year so we could do trials in all our schools. Simon Hool is the chap we talk to [email protected]

We just have a WEEE skip on site from Enviro Electronics - FREE IT Disposal Service Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Sheffield, North linconshire, Grimsby, Leeds, We put all cables, scrap IT and any other scrap electrical in that and get it collected when we have filled it. So far it's been working well.

[sims] Summer 2019 - Can't deploy Full Release
jcollings replied to FragglePete's topic in MIS Systems
I had this the other day. Deployed the database only patch first which only applies to the SIMS server then the full release worked after that. -
What did you not like about Exa? They are bidding for our MAT at the moment - internet and telephony

Hi All Early days yet but we are planning to get our Google partners to do a course on all the features of GSuite Admin. I have places for 20 and we only need 3 or 4 in our trust. Does anyone else fancy coming along - depending on numbers we can work out a cost but if we filled all 20 places it would be pretty cheap. We are based in Blackpool and the Blackburn area so it would be in one of those locations. Please PM me if you are interested. Thanks.

We had the same issues with our iPads and Meru too. We spent hours on calls to the support provider and Fortinet themselves and got nothing. Only option we were presented with was "upgrade wireless points"

Thanks all. Sorted it now. @pubgrub277 - yes, that is along the correct lines. I ended up with this to find first:=INDEX(A2:E2,MATCH(TRUE,INDEX((A2:E2<>0),0),0)) and this to find last =LOOKUP(2,1/(A2:E2<>""),A2:E2) - once I had those it was simple to take one from the other. @Michael - they are a series of results and not everyone has a result for every test, hence the gaps.

Hi All Here is a little excel problem I have just been set. 1 2 3 4 5 2 4 3 4 4 1 6 2 5 0 1 2 6 1 1 7 1 5 columns - I want to subtract the first value in the sequence of columns from the last. The data will be in random places in the columns 1-5 so I may be doing col 1 minus col 4 or col2 - col4 or col 3 minus col4 so I can't just do A1-A4 etc. In my head I think there should be a way of doing it but I am struggling in reality! Any help gratefully received. Thanks
