featured_spectre Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Well I hit rank 20 now after another couple of hours...gonna stop as my eyes hurt...lol...game is rather addictive!
mac_shinobi Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Dirty Boy. Take's one to know one if you understood it lol
nikaso Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I've got to say I wasn't as gripped by the single player story as with MW2, I felt more 'attached' to Price and Soap etc. It was enjoyable enough but at the end of both MW and MW2 I was left thinking 'this is amazing' whereas with Black Ops I was a lot more 'Meh'. Multiplayer on the other hand is awesome, I love Gun Game, shame there is no XP for it.
jcollings Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 If anyone gets bored with it quickly on the Xbox 360 and wants to sell me a copy cheap please PM me Cheers
CHR1S Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Im going to finish SP and then ill prob sell it on.. unless they patch it any time soon.
featured_spectre Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I am now rank 26...have only used the MP5K, simply for the fact it is over powered, plus when you get the amount of kills I do with it, why change? lol Went from 0.56 when I first started on friday now to 0.96, and its going up and up and up (god bless attack dogs and chopper gunner). Love the RC-XD, have called in just shy of 150 (so will get a lovely bonus there) and killed just shy of 75 (so again, another bonus!). I am going to prestige on this one as its fun, unlike MW2 where it took so long to get to rank 70, it wasnt worth doing (although I did it 8 times lol). I am glad they made it easier to gain rank though, much prefer this. I am also pretty much maxed out on FFA and now doing Search and Destroy. Also maxed out Warlord, Almost done on Ninja and Hardline (just need 1 achievement for hardline and ninja). I am loving the game immensely

Well i completed it last night, and i have to say that i do agree with you, SP isnt that good - perhaps it was because i knew that he wasn't going to die in any of the levels, as it was a flashback. Multiplayer though is pretty sweet.
mattx Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I was playing it last night quite drunk - I think nephilim invited me to a party but I passed out shortly afterwards. Sorry nephilim.
featured_spectre Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 you will be! haha, I owned the FFA I was in for about 15 rounds in a row...3 cases I won by 12 kills...lol
LosOjos Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 The game is growing on me (rather, I've learned to accept it's short comings) but if they don't patch it to fix the lag, party and kill box issues before crimbo, it's going on ebay.
LosOjos Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Its ok but I prefer Battlefield That game irritated the hell out of me, though I was hoping the latest CoD would have finally included destructible buildings as Battlefield has had for the last 2 incarnations
featured_spectre Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 It requires a completely new engine which activision said they will be working on for the one after black ops. So who knows, maybe the next installment will have it.

I just hope they hand production back to Infinity Ward for the next one - never doubted for a second that I loved any of the CoD games they made, whereas I'm never quite happy with Treyarch's attempts.
Rydra Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 destructable buildings and proper teamplay are what have made bfbc2 for me. The one thing missing from so many FPS games for me though, is proper variable sniper options. I want Prone AND CROUCH, and I want a properly variable scope, not the one zoom fits all, with weapons that actually work, and have realistic ranges COMPARED TO STANDARD RIFLES. My biggest gripe with bc2 atm, is the medic's spray and pray machine guns, and most of the assault rifles will match or beat the sniper rifles for range and accuracy, and the shotguns are a lot longer range than they should be, and not enough damage. Within 2 metres, a shotgun ought to remove body parts, not merely ding you. At 50ft+ unless it's the right barrel/ammo type you shouldn't be hitting regularly, and in that case your more using a pump action rifle than a shotgun anyway... Will i buy BO? Probably not. I bought MW2 for PS3, Battlefield BC2 for PS3 and I hate both with a passion. BC2 on the PC is a brilliant FPS game, i love the team play aspect of it that you just don't get in MW2 which is all about solo crusaders. If when they make a CoD game that rewards teamplay not just to benefit the solo'ers, a decent sniping option, and ability to skill up a certain weaponset/ craft rather than having to level up weapons in the order a game developer wants, I might consider them.

Ironically, the sniper rifles in Black Ops are probably the best of any CoD game yet, with variable zoom (3 levels of zoom anyway) and better range - but the maps are all too enclosed to get in any good position to use them!
Hightower Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 On a side note, has anyone seen this yet: HOMEFRONT Can't wait for it to be released!

Mark_martin Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I have Black Opps on Xbox to, not sure if its as good as MWF2 tho. When my man is running he makes a funny galloping sound, doesnt sound like running at all. Anyone else had this. Trott trott trott

Have you tried MAG on the PS3? It is a proper team based game and good fun, the problem is unless you play with mates you can end up with a bunch of COD kids ( I love COD don't get me wrong but I also love Battlefield etc.) going all lone wolf and ignoring objectives etc.
featured_spectre Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I am enjoying the SP a bit (albeit stuck on a certain part of mission 5), and I am enjoying the multiplayer as well, so win win for me!
