Commodore 64, those were the days...

Even though I'm only 21 (22 on 18th of Feb) the other day I was reminiscing about my love of our old Commodore 64 and how I loved playing Outrun and Thundercats etc... Well I got a special offers email from Play.com and check it out.

Anybody else for some retro gaming?

Super Nintendo and Sega Mega drive were my favourites. Super Mario world, sonic 1-3. Plus I still have both my Super Nintendo and Sega Mega Drive. :D . Might see if I have any spare cash at the end of the month and splash out on that, looks like the kind of old games I love.

Is there no end to the musical tallent of the people of hull? ;)

All I'm gonna say, back on the C64 retro gaming topic, is you could never beat a bit of Fantasy World Dizzy! Oh and the Amstrad CPC 'owned' the C=64 ;)

if your into the c64 music side,, its worth downloading sidplay for the pc,, then u can download .sid files and play them in the style of the 64 :D

I'm sorry, but 8-bit audio has all the charm of Stephen Hawkin singing along to an Eminem record! (or should that be the other way round?).

Still got all three of my C64s, plus Datasettes, Action Replay, 300 tapes, all safely packed up. All worked last time I checked too! They'll be in my museum one day :)

Wasn't Magic Pockets 16 bit only (ie PC/Amiga/ST)?

I believe so. Don't recall it on the Commadore.

I was always an ST Fanboy. Desperately trying to resist the waves of nostalgia...

I'm getting this just for the joystick - they were awesome sticks, and I think they were only surpassed by the original Atari stick.

Ahhhh Magicland Dizzy on the Atari ST :o

Oh the Dizzy game were the muts on the ol' 8bit systems. In fact anything by Codemasters. For under a £5 from the local newsagents :D

If we're gonna move on to 16bit reminensing then I'm gonna club your ST to death with my Miggy and mention classic such as...

Moonstone, Flashback, Pushover, Xenon and Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge (although I may have had that last one one the CPC now I come to think of it).

If you want to talk in game music Xenon II on the Miggy was pretty good.
