It's great!! I am Loving the snow!! just wish I wasn't in work so I could enjoy it!!

Snow ball fight at lunch time!!!!! :smow:

Yeah, we had more snow overnight, and possibly more to come. I have a 4x4 and had to do an Argos run for ourselves and the neighbours before I came in to work, as many cars can't get off the estate because of the compacted snow and ice on the roads and we have severals hills to go up!

Snow missed us by about 2 miles last night. Still got a couple of inches unthawed from end of last week.

Pavements around the town are lethal as they are completely untreated. I've burned off my Christams dinner in advance by spending a couple of hours chipping sheet ice of our drive (shared with 2 other houses) as it was very difficult to get up the slight slope on it, especially on foot.

Snow missed us by what seems like 20 meters. Everywhere gets snow but here.

Left for the airport at 3am this morning. Freezing fog, snow and we had no idea if our flight would be cancelled again. But I've just taken the kids to the beach and we had a drink on the terrace as the sun went down.:)

Well its continued to Snow here and freeze the you know what's off, the car parks at work were ploughed on Tuesday and are as deep again today! That's scary!!! But on a positive note the traction control on my VW is good, it helped me get up the hill back to the main road this morning so I could get to work without being towed to up the hill to the main road :D I got the last minute shopping and then got home to find the UPS man had delivered the last of my gifts for people, ace German efficiency too less than 24hrs to get from one side of German to the UK then 3 days from Milton Keynes to my House here in Yorkshire!

Closed but not informed until after the time i would usualy set out. Didn't set out as any fool could see that that amount of snow would mean closure. Feel sorry for anyone who set off earlier to battle their way into school only to find it closed.

According to the beeb it's supposed to be snowing in Birmingham now. It isn't though so I am in work :( If we get snow later it will be a nightmare to get back home on the M6!

We were closed yesterday due to snow & other problems, open again today as we only had another 2-3 cm snow overnight. I think the weather front is moving south now :)

Snowed overnight again in Northumberland, so we're closed in Seahouses. :)

(You have to be excited for your first post to be a "yes! we're closed" one)

//edit: Kev, a bit difficult to use that site at the moment as it appears to be down, presumably through the sheer load of excited and/or hopeful employees across the country!

Just started snowing here (Kinver, Stourbridge). Fingers Crossed it continues.

Can you keep us updated. We have a few teachers live that way. There were just a few flakes here.

It seems to be coming from the West. We are fine here but teachers who live over that way in Dorchester or Weymouth are keeping a close eye on the situation.
