It has been observed at BETT that some members are shyer than others about turning up at the edugeek stand. I agree it can be intimidating and remember my first visit back in 2007 when I was scared off and scarpered because somebody, Ric_ I think, talked to me. There are 3 female mods and all of us will be there at some point. I will be at BETT 2015 all day every day. I will let witch and Little-Miss confirm their presence in case I get it wrong. So, with the full approval of the EduGod Dos_Box himself, we have decided that the 'girls' need to meet each other... and that the best way to do this would be arranging a time each day when we can gather and slope off for a cuppa (eduHobnobs supplied) or just stay at the stand and chat. Attendance doesn't exclude you from the 12.30pm pizza frenzy by the way So what suits you best given that the show is open from 10am to 6pm (4pm Saturday) and your travel plans? First thing? Mid afternoon, say 3pm? For those of you who have smart phones, edugeek has a "WhatsApp" chat group called "EG BETTers" set up by ZeroHour (Shaun Garriock) which is a good way for everyone to stay in touch. I could set up one for the Female Techs if it's a popular idea. If you are without the relevant technology, PM me your mobile number and the day(s) you will be there so I can text you.
Tammie Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 That's a great idea! I would be interested, any time between mid morning and mid afternoon would be better as I'm travelling with a group and I'm not sure what time we will get there or leave.
