zag Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 From another thread, I was just wondering who here works full time and who works term time only? Me, its term time only so 6 weeks of travelling for me! I will of course be in for exam results day and any emergencies though.
DMcCoy Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Looking to take one or two days off this year. In for all the rest though.
TimTech Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Off for most of the next 6 weeks.....wish i could work though, so much more can be done without all the users cluttering up the network.
ahuxham Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Working most, however taking 8 days off, rolling over 8 weeks, so 4 days weeks =]
leco Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Term time only here - but I will be working for the next two weeks or so. As has been said, I can get so much more done with no network users
Irazmus Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Term time only but will be in for 2-3 days for server work.
elsiegee40 Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Term time only plus 10 days in the holidays... roughly works out at 2 days at Christmas, 2 days at Easter, 4 days at the start of Summer, 2 days at the end of Summer
BaccyNet Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 All year round here, both myself and the boss. We both have holiday rolled over from last year though so we'll try and take most of that soon although if the job list gets any bigger (posted in another thread) there wont be any days to take!!!
M.Slaughter Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 If only I could consider this a holiday... Unfortunately, myself along with the rest of the team will be working through the summer 'holiday', as we now have three schools that need a lot of work done to them. This is going to be, by far, one of the busiest 'holidays' I've ever had...
Sirbendy Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 TT+2 weeks here. They owe me time off big style anyway - overtime every night, in 90% of last summer, will be in at least that next summer with the building move. I'll be in week 1 bringing back new kit, imaging and deploying it. I'll be in exams day as well...anything else is "what I feel like"..
bizzel Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Term time + 10 days for me, only 3 days left of that so I feel like it'll be a long summer
teejay Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Had planned 3 weeks in 3 weeks off, with my technicians who do term time + 10 days in at appropriate times all agreed over a month ago. Not any more, deputy head has up the timetable and the business manager has up the planning of the building work. So, now I'm in 5 of the 6 weeks, the technicians have booked their holidays so can only come in the times previously agreed which means they will be twiddling their thumbs as they can't do the planned work as it means taking down the network. I've been given three days when I can take down the network to do on my own what was planned as two weeks work for myself and a technician
crc-ict Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 In an unprecedented piece of poor planning on my part, I leaving my term-time post and taking up a new year-round position on 28th July - four days after term ends in our County! So, after having been looking forward to six weeks off, I'm now facing the prospect of not getting it! I've been allowed to take a fortnight off after working 1 week though, so it's not all bad.
witch Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Term-time only here. I do come in in the holidays if I am really needed but as I don't get overtime - only normal pay up until I have done 37 hours in a week, I try to avoid it!
EduTech Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Not Full time But working All the holiday have about 5 days off
