I'm pretty sure I know that one right away, but I won't spoil the game for others. That plastic moulding made for satisfying stacking, but I don't really understand why the designers thought people would ever have a more than one to begin with!

 

Back when these things came onto the market, integrated gateways and wireless APs were less common. It wasn't unusual for you to buy separates and Linksys did a whole range of things like wireless access points, routers, switches/hubs and other things which could be stacked on top of each other. Then came the WRT54G and OpenWRT

One place I worked that was their 'core stack' when I arrived - router, 8 port fast ethernet switch, 3x wap54g 2x with low-loss 10m antenna leads like hosepipes to get the Wi-Fi onto the shop floor and the offices upstairs!

Well I can't provide an response now as I snuck a glance at the answer you deleted :p

I will say though that I almost bought one back in the day. kinda glad I didn't now and stuck with what I had at the time.

Definitely, absolutely loved that machine. I was probably too young to notice how rubbish it was (especially when compared to the PS1 and N64) but some of my favorite gaming memories are from that console!

This is from a much earlier vintage - and actually a genuine question too. I believe 1940s and airborne electronics. There might just be someone on Edugeek who can recognise this......

I think it may be a vacuum capacitor?
