I am sure Dave from schools broadband jumped into Exas forum thread previously highlighting the lack of comms...

Update

– P0 Case Reference – 01138958

Apologies with the delay to this communication, engineers have been on a conference call all afternoon with Netsweeper. We believe we have found the issue and have put a temporary fix in place. We will be carrying out additional work this evening to make the fix permanent and will send further comms in the morning.

A full RFO will be distributed once we have a confirmed fix in place.

Still running like a sack of potatoes here

I never got the RFO from the last issues. Did anyone?

Good evening everyone,

Sorry for my tardy response.

We appear to have had an intermittent issue for some customers following a Netsweeper software upgrade performed early last week which initially appeared to go fine but has only become apparent today following heavy usage after the holidays.

We have worked with Netsweeper all day and are continuing to do this evening as we make some recommended changes as advised by Netsweeper.

We will continue to monitor throughout the evening and early morning when traffic volumes return to normal daily use. We have a live call with Netsweeper senior engineers at 08:30 who will be monitoring the platform to check if the changes have fixed the underlying issue. It's too early yet to fully comment on the fault but we belive it's down to a software alternation different from our previous build. We will update everyone in due course following monitoring tomorrow.

Thanks

Dave

Seems to be working okay today, but then again the traffic hasn't really started

Spoke too soon, it's slow again

Slow for anyone else ?

Morning all,

the changes we made in conjunction with Netsweeper appears to have fixed the issue. We are not seeing slow speeds over our estate in general. if you do have any speed issues please raise with our support team.

That said I'll PM @caffrey and @PrimaryNetMan as if you are having a common issue I can take that to the NOC team to see if there's anything wider but we're certainly not seeing that at the moment.

Thanks

Dave

I think a bit more communication would be good, it seems when things go wrong your support go dark and then we have nothing to relay back to our clients / customers.

A phone message to say you have issues instead of being on hold would be beneficial.

Think we all need to see better service and more stability.

Seems to be okay now, but has Google Password Sync broke for anyone ? Or is it just a coincidence ? I've put a support ticket in anyway

*edit* ignore me, just fixed it - just a coincidence

I need a favour SBB Peeps out there, can someone try accessing the tesco.com sign in page? Apparently it was 'working last week' and now were get an access denied. The sign in page works fine from my 4G connection so just want to check

TIA

I get an access denied here, using a test teacher account

edit it works on my guest account which bypasses netsweeper

Thanks @caffrey now the long slog to find out where it's being blocked... :|

I think it's to do with Tesco changing something their end, and some IP's being blacklisted, in my opinion. Are you on 85.92.167.228? We were on this earlier, I raised a case pointing out my thoughts, and now our IP has changed.

The CAPTCHA thing is new on Tesco so maybe they're upgrading their security.

We're not now no, I don't know what we were on earlier. Yes, our finance team called them and they said they had made some security changes around the recaptcha and some other bits. It's working now for us here either way.

Anyone having issues with Google Sites and Google Calendar today? We've had them exempted on the student filter previously, but they seem to have gone mysteriously missing again.

If you call Tesco website support they have an automated message about issues with their website. Spoke to a guy too who said their isn’t at ETA yet but they are working on it (Don’t know what it is but guessing something to do with blacklisting external IP addresses which is why it doesn’t work on schoolsBB)
