Yep. We have had nothing but issues with Netsweeper over the last 3 months since moving from Lightspeed.

We've been a customer with SBB for approx 8 years, and I hate to say it but the sooner we move the better.

This is the biggest issue in those 8 years, but the support has been diabolical.

Rant over.

Hi all,

we're very sorry for the issue this morning. We're working with Netsweeper (which is where the issue was) to ascertain how this happened as it's not done before. This is our first major issue in 2 years since we've installed it which is very frustrating. We will send through an outage report as normal.

Ref the webadmins and them running slow; we are aware of some issues at the moment and already have some new hardware ordered and ready to be installed soon which should see a marked improvement in response times. Please watch this space.

Thanks

Nope what happened today was definitely very different from some of the stats and things we've initially seen. I suspect that was an adhoc thought with someone speaking out loud.

We'll let you know in our report what happened as soon as its ready and we've done a full root cause analysis.

Thanks

Glad we moved away from Netsweeper when the LEA stopped providing filtering services. It was a disaster, always having squid issues, and is based in Canada.

Morning all.

We've a small subset of customers affected. The vast majority aren't.

NOC are working on it. I'm away from the office today so csnt give detailed information until later which I will do as soon as I have it.

Thank you for your patience for those affected.

The affected customers should be back up and running now. If not please call the help desk.

Ok so we had a partial outage on some specific netsweeper clusters which may have been caused by a software upgrade / configuration change over the weekend.

We've pulled some servers from our load balancer cluster as a precaution and will re add them once we've found where the issue 100% is.

Thanks for your patience

@SchoolsBroadband We are scheduled to migrate to the Netsweeper service on Friday, however, since we're ending our contract with you (ends in Jan), do we really have to migrate over for this short period?

In a similar position with under 6 months left to run so would be interested to hear an answer to this too. Having 1 site migrating this week and the number of Schools Broadband posts lately don't fill me with confidence.
