Edubytes South Central Meet - Salisbury, July 26th 2018 - Everybody welcome!

So if we overlook the fact that Salisbury is even more contaminated than Chernobyl and Fukushima combined at the moment and by the summer we'll be inundated by 40 foot tall toxic ants fighting killer zombies in The Maltings, who is up for a fourth meeting of the South/Central/Kent Edubytes gathering?

 

The general consensus last time was that if the weather is good we'll have an everyone bring some food and drink picnic on the cathedral grounds and if it looks like a wet day then we'll do the Greyfisher again. We break up here on the 20th July and as usual any date after that I can do free on-site parking etc which means you won't have to pay a fortune to park in the grockle traps up the road.

21st July to 24th August currently clear for me, though one of my schools may actually be replacing their server some time in those dates.

Last day is the 21st July here and I am pretty easy going throughout the whole of the summer.

 

There is the first Friday of August where I will not be available, due to another long distance sponsored walk, so expect the Just Giving bits for that :-)

I have 2 weeks blocked out with Trust IT to do an O365 migration. It's dependent on Trust workload exactly which 2 weeks, and I won't know until closer to the time!

 

I'm going to provisionally say I'm in, but I might be out!

 

At the moment I can do any Monday/Wednesday/Thursday in August.

Found something potential stuff waiting for some information first but seems decent.

I'm South-Central based - not far from @GrumbleDook actually, but I have no idea of my summer availability at present because I'm waiting for a date for surgery. Waiting list suggests I'm looking June/July for the surgery then 3+ weeks of recovery.

 

Edited to add: Although the mutated giant ants sound like fun - we could hold an 'Ant Rodeo'... Just sayin'

Only enough for the Oxbridge students and the 1st XV Rugby team at the moment but more are due to arrive by 2024

Greetings from Hampshire will be able to come, depending on outcome from interview this morning, but as it will be a "pre-booked VERY important meeting" would imagine I could get day off.

 

So that's where my ants have gone is it...on holiday to Salisbury? We've really had bugs in the system this week, invasion now hopefully under control but the smell of fried ant is horrible.

Won't be able to come if it is August 1st as we are going on holiday on the 31st July...will be very sad to miss it.

We dont break up till the 25th so I would only be free on July 26th and 27th, or after August 13th
