Dos_Box Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Window open, blinds down, fan on full and still uncomfy How are the rest of you holding up?
3s-gtech Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Lush here, but I like heat. Went running last evening, slept curled up in the duvet too. Too nice to be stuck in the office updating software! 1
MrKJLS Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I must of picked the best week for some time off. Sitting out in the garden with my laptop in the sun. I'm holding up nicely at the moment
Boredguy Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Windows open as far as it can really go (3 inches) and still toasty, but we have got 4 PC's, 4 switches, routers, 10 media converters and a UPS in here with me all on so it's to be expected. Oh for A/C
FN-GM Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Heat doesn't bother me at all. Prefer this than what we have had for the past few weeks.
dry Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 A/C pumping nice cold air straight towards me. Might have to go for a walk as it's a little too icy in here!
sted Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 people keep turning the ac on after ive turned it off (im in it suite) and im frozen im actually tempted to get my coat from the car.
unixman_again Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Fine - as far as I'm concerned, it isn't hot until it gets to 40C, which is highly unlikely here in Blighty. Where I'm from in Oz, it's pretty common for 40+ days in the summer. When I first came over in 1993, I wore a jumper all summer 'cus I thought it was too cold!
elsiegee40 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Curtains closed, windows open, extra air-stone in the tropical aquarium... and for my own safety ironing farmed out and the lawn cut at 7am before our tortoise was active. I have to go sit in a school hall for two hours over lunch time (governor duties at an awards presentation). It's not going to be pleasant in there
Norphy Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 It was an extremely unpleasant journey into work this morning on London public transport but it's OK in my office now that I've cooled down a little. My baby son is very unsettled at the moment though, my partner is really looking forward to Thursday when it's supposed to cool down a little.
mdrabble Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Busy moving desks/computers etc and it a tad warm.... thankfully a quick trip to the server room now and then helps :-)
Dos_Box Posted July 19, 2016 Author Posted July 19, 2016 I'm a cold weather creature. I find it easier to warm up than cool down
north-ict Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I have the AC on in my office and trying to not leave my room only when necessary as everywhere else is boiling. I planned a contingency and put some water bottles in the fridge to keep me going for the day. - - - Updated - - - I'm a cold weather creature. I find it easier to warm up than cool down Seconded
eyetea Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 The thought of going for a swim as soon as I leave work at keeping me going!
cherd84 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Our office is usually pretty unbearable and it doesn't take a lot for it to warm up what with all the kit in here. Nice, gentle breeze coming in through the window at the moment though. If that drops, I'll find some jobs to do in the rooms with A/C.
DanTheLacky Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Air con decided yesterday that it was going to start pouring water through the ceiling / light.... so we will become very uncomfortable very soon
abillybob Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I love the heat My girlfriends father retired at age 35 so he's happily basking in the sun today while I'm stuck in a cold, dark office Just could do with a Banks' Mild, my vape and sitting in the heat right about now!!
MatthewL Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Nice and cool on the road today in the car with the air con. Beats yesterday stuck in a box cooking.
VeryPC_Colin_M Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 29 in our office at the moment. Eco buildings are great at cooking you alive. 3
cherd84 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Just could do with a Banks' Mild Nothing like an early start

Crikey, a ginger who likes heat. I'm...ok, windows are wide open, but not getting much of a breeze through. Which is annoying. every so often a nice cool breeze rolls in but lasts only a few seconds. localzuk Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I'm a cold weather creature. I find it easier to warm up than cool down Absolutely. I'm melting in this heat. I really can't handle it anymore, not like I could when I was a teen.
korifugi Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I'm...ok, windows are wide open, but not getting much of a breeze through. Which is annoying. every so often a nice cool breeze rolls in but lasts only a few seconds. Just don't start shouting at the breeze - yelling "c'mon, blow me!" through the window may not enamour you to SLT 1
MrKJLS Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I'm a cold weather creature. I find it easier to warm up than cool down I would prefer to be cold then hot.
