Anyone playing DiRT Rally? Picked it up last week for PS4, really enjoying it but it's very, very unforgiving and definitely not for the faint-hearted!

Had it on steam for ages, got my Stratos so i'm very happy! Do have to use the steam controller as keyboard and mouse on it is very hard! Went to go and play it few days ago only for it to have a 17gb updated.....

Also been playing it on steam during early access. Can't agree more with the controller comment (although you do get the occasional

!).

Just getting used to flying finland but haven't yet mastered sweden without embedding the car into a snow bank...

I played the s**t out of the first game but when GfWL went offline and took access to it with them it soured me on the whole franchise and I never really got back into the later games :(

The new Sebastien Loeb game looked really good from what I saw but tanked in the reviews.

Bought it at Christmas on PC. Comes alive with a wheel and pedals. Closest thing I've ever played to the real thing, and I absolutely love it. Still find driving the Mini fun - the fast cars are heart pounding.

How are you finding the Stratos? bought that as my 2nd car after I got promoted to clubman with the mini, I'm finding it near impossible to control - end up going backwards around most of the corners, especially in the ice! Think I'm going to be relegated and will look at buying another FWD/4x4 car instead.

Very, very, very spiny. I have to make sure I get the corners perfect or I seem to spin off! It is my favourite car so I'm trying my best to get used to it!

It has Pikes Peak hill climb event, and some rally cross tracks.

While it's ok to play with a controller, it's even more fun with a wheel as the amount of steering inputs you have to put in (even with the 1960's mini) gives you a workout by the end of the first stage :)

Yeah same, it looks & sounds great, although not very practical haha, I might need to abandon the championship and change car otherwise I'll never make it to the pro events :(

RallyCross is a lot of fun as well, gets the adrenaline going. Can't master the HillClimb yet, need more practice!

Downloaded the 17gb updated yesterday, I haven't tested the game out yet since I got my new 21:9 monitor so hopefully it will be even more epic! and less of me sliding off corners and smashing my beloved lancia :(

Na, you'll still slide off in corners, especially in Wales :p

What Wheel have you tried with, I started looking around for one.

I still have a PS3 and have Dirt.

I used to play Colin McRae and vRally years back and loved them :-) .

I've had it on Steam for quite a while now and have put about 20-odd hours into it. It's an ace game, probably one of the best racers i've played in a good few years.

I've been using the old Logitech GT from the PS3 and it works a treat.

Played it last night after the 17.3gb update!! Decided to try rallycross for the 1st time, used the peugot 208? (as I have a 306 irl). Took joker on 1st lap (in the rain) and span out lost race on 1st corner!

Is that the first RallyCross? the oval shaped one? I find that the hardest one, the best I've done is 7th! Yet on the second one I can easily get 3rd place. The corners/joker are really awkward on the first one, I use the Renault Clio :)

I'm still playing Dirt 3. My Logitech G25 wheel isn't supported on the PS4. A proper swizz :mad::mad:

Same with my logitech GT! It's very, very annoying.

PC master race 🤓 My ancient wheel (Logitech Formula Force EX) works just fine, used it recently on NFS 3 from 1998, Dirt 3 and this, all on Windows 10.

Thrustmaster 300RS over here on the PC (although it is the PS3/PS4 version in case I want to do racing on one of them too)

It is plunger compatible.

For fellow PC players, there are car setups available via Steam Workshop if you've not yet had the fun of tweaking it to your own liking.
