Apparently moving slightly north to the Broadlands might be better than living in the big city (Norwich). I can think of nothing worse than living in the country and think Norwich can be too quiet for a city sometimes - so I think the accuracy of these results can be taken with a pinch of salt (that said I agree, I probably am neurotic).

Although Dundee got 77% so I'm not bad living here either! I find it quiet interesting that my "Worse place to live" (Newham) life satisfaction was 69%, I would have expected my worse place to be much lower than that!
sonofsanta Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) I'm an idle sod who's happy to trust someone else will do the job for me while I sit quietly in the corner: It reckoned Ashby-de-la-Zouch and surrounding Leics area was best for me, which isn't too far away from where I work. Still only 55% though, which seems to be the BBC telling me "you'll be miserable everywhere*". Thanks BBC! Best place near to me was to go back to Boston, where I started (though I was only 3 when I left) but where I am now is not far off either. Lowest population density of the lot (80/km^2, ranked 349 out of 380) and average age is highest, so in brief I'm surrounded by big open fields with the odd pensioner wandering around in them. Perfick The fact that we're all mostly getting "close to where you are now" is a pretty good sign that we're all products of where we've grown up, mind you... *EDIT: not as miserable as @Tesla, at least Edited March 25, 2015 by sonofsanta 1

unixman_again Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Oxford for me. I've been these twice and both times I had a bad experice (mugged and car broken into). Corby is the worst place, marginally behind where I live and Dudley just up the road isn't too bad. On the whole, I'd rather live in Australia, Adelaide to be specific.

(Nice for a visit for a couple of days, get away north again as soon as possible) Worst place - Ealing, which being inside the M25 is absolutely correct
