Dress Code

I am curious what the dress code for everyone is, i have to wear a shirt and tie, and dress smart like the teachers, i find that shirts get wrecked from all sorts because i am always under something or in and out of something and get messy often.

at my school, i can wear what i like, even tracky bottoms (dont obveously) but our school is layd back most teachers just come in wearing jeans.

Yeh I hate dresscodes. Men always have to dress smarter than women, that's not fair.

 

Anyway yeh, noone's ever really stipulated exactly I was just told 'appropriate office clothing' which I took to mean the same as all the other males and wear a shirt and tie and trousers.

I can wear whatever I want, obviously no offensive t shirts or anything but other that anything reasonable is acceptable.

dickies work wear trousers and a shirt saying the school name and computer services on the sleeve. we had them made especially, because i wasn't dressing appropriately... basically i was showing mid riff and that is bad. so now I wear a big baggy top... stops any of my clothes from being ruined though!

Shirt and trousers without a tie unless it’s a day when I spend a lot of time on the floor then jeans and whatever is practical.

I wear casual. I would like to wear my liverpool fc tops and t shirts but i cannot walk around the school with carlsberg plastered across my chest!

Shirt, tie, trousers and smart shoes... couple of my shirts have been ruined already with toner/ink and its probably not going to be the last shirt i have to bin. Shoes tend to get ruined too

Trousers and shirt here during term time, holiday time just everyday stuff. Would much rather have a polo shirt or the like but they aren't provided.

Whatever we want to wear we can wear within reason. This job wrecks clothes - I used to wear a shirt and tie but rarely do now.

I wear CAT boots, my daily wear since I was in year 6! Not the same pair obviously, I think I'm on my third now which isn't bad to say I wear them day in day out.

 

Joanne, no matter how nice your midrif may be, best to keep it covered the girls these days need no encouragement!

 

I don't really do that much messy work these days to be honest so I guess I have no argument about dressing smart.

 

Hmmm custom polo tshirt/jumper might be an idea though...

Smart office attire for the team. I did offer them polo shirts for the summer and sweatshirts for the winter to wear with dark trousers, but they all said they would prefer smart office attire.

 

I tend to wear a suit.

 

Holidays ... whatever you are comfortable ... as long as it is something you can be seen out wearing in public and with some consideration that you are still in a school (ie no slogans with strong or abusive language or indecent images).

We had polo shirts made with 'IT SQUAD' on the back but as someone in our LG doesn't have a sense of humour we were asked to stop wearing them.... :-(

It is shirt, tie and trousers here. I just wear a suit, makes life easier.

Must admit im not keen on the idea of a 'uniform', guess i much rather wearing what im wearing now then that.

I wear safety trainers, combat navy blue or olive combat trousers (lots of pockets) and a navy blue polo shirt. All supplied by me, bar the safety shoes / trainers.

 

Holidays I can wear what I want.

Sensible trainers (Hi-tec "clodhoppers"), tidy trousers and a shirt. My predecessor dressed more informally, but I feel that being tidily dressed sends out a message of professionalism.
