Dirty great hypocrite. I bet he's happy to get royalty / repeat fees for the old episodes shown constantly on BBC3 and Dave (joint owned by BBC Worldwide).

For racial discrimination of all things.

I saw this and thought what a load of.............................. what ever next.

The stupid thing is, I actually felt sorry for the guy. I'm surprised something had not already been agreed with out of court ages ago but didn't want to press charges but now wants to sue.....

Now though.. I got no sympathy for him. I remember some one here said "He probably doesn't want any fuss/bad press".. well obviously now he does.

What a whimp.

He even went to the hospital for a fat lip.

While violence is not an acceptable work incentive (Give the torys a little more time with this pls) hes clearly thinks biting the hand that feeds him is acceptable.

Maybe if had made sure the stars of the show he produced were fed correctly this would not have happened.

So an employee is subjected to a tirade of ugly ranting, including slurs on his ethnicity "lazy Irish ***t", not as a one off shout but for a reported 40 minutes unabated and he is then finally punched in the face, has to drive himself to hospital with a cut lip believing himself to have been fired and out of a job, but you think it is his fault for not having hot foot ready for people who pitched up 2 hours late because they thought it more important to have a few beers rather than be on time.

You really do have some 'choice' views. I sincerely hope you never experience such bullying at work even though it might be the only thing that could possibly give you some much needed perspective.

Whilst I don't agree with @Galway that he should've had food prepared (if the reports are true that they stopped off for two hours to have a few pints, then standard thermodynamics says the food ain't gonna be warm any more) I do have to agree that going to hospital for a bust lip is rather on the excessive side, and if he did need to go to Hospital he was recklessly endangering other peoples' lives*. I personally will always maintain if you do actually need to go to hospital, you shouldn't be the one in charge of the vehicle.

* For example, if he thought he had concussion and did need medical attention, being at the wheel of the car is very dangerous. If he passed out, for example, he could have caused more damage to himself and others.

Were you there? Were you in the pub with him? Did you eat his steak?

Jezz was at fault for the fracas, but that oik was producer for one of its top stars and best beeb money earner.

Im sure there were failings on both sides.

To be fair, you are wasting your time. If you say anything negative in regards to the Producer you are accused of "Defending assault". Which is utter tosh and crap.

I'd say people who have been on the end of 40 minutes of verbal abuse, humiliated in front of all and sundry by an self important toff bully boy before being physically assaulted by a punch in the face, might be cut a little slack when it comes to making sensible, intelligent decisions. Also, people go to A&E to assess the extent of their injury - they often don't know how extensive the injury is and if that is the case, they should indeed seek professional advice.

If someone here was shouted at by a teacher for 40mniutes for not having pepped equipment for a lesson, despite the teacher then turning up worse for beer two hours late, and they were punched in the face, I wonder if the teacher would get the hero worship that seems to be reserved by some here for the schoolboy bully Clarkson.

Oh, no, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Clarkson was in the right at all. He was quite plainly an idiot and his actions cannot be justified at all.

All I'm saying is - ignoring this scenario or any specifics in general - if you truly beleive you should be going to hospital you shouldn't be in charge of a vehicle. If you do not know the extent of your injures, it is possible (as you believe) that you have a serious injury. In the case of this assault, maybe you have a concussion. Bleeding on the brain. Swelling that's going to apply pressure to your skull. These are all things that could cause you to pass out. Therefore, don't be the only person controlling a two-tonne high-speed chunk of metal!

Funny enough, I have access to the same reports and information that you do. Apparently that information allows you to pass judgement on the situation but not anyone who disagrees with your assessment. That does seem to be fairly typical of your trolling.

A failure to produce food for people who are two hours late because they made a choice to soak up beer on BBC coin in no way is comparable to subjecting an employee to half an hour of verbal abuse, including racial slurs and concluding with a physical assault. If you think they are comparable, you frankly need to get some perspective.

Put the argument to bed now, it's been going on forever :p

Like it or hate it, let's all be honest we'll all end up watching the first episode on Amazon to see how much it's changed.

Speak for yourself! I didn't watch it on the BBC and have no intention of starting now.

Exactly. I am glad its moved to Amazon as now I can't accidentally put it on the telly while I'm flicking through.
