Pitch Perfect. Lots of fun if you have a tolerance for modern musicals. Otherwise, avoid like the plague. A bit like "Glee goes to college" (back when Glee was a bit more edgy and before it turned into the "poor Kurt" show) with a lot less angst.

At home would be Guardians of the Galaxy, nice effects pretty boring story though. At the Cinema would be Pride, loved it, very British and very funny Film.

Got a problem with our Tivo so trying to watch as much as possible before it's replaced, so:

Don Jon

A porn-obsessed young man falls in love, but finds that his "hobby" doesn't go down well with the object of his affections. No trailer posted for obvious reasons! Actually quite a sweet and amusing movie, but I suspect that director/writer/star is one of Satan's imps as no good can possibly come of any discussion of this film with a lady you may be interested in/in a relationship with. Unless you lie or are a saint.

Well I dont cry at films, I rarely do. I'm a cold and heartless sod like that...

Nor me..

Big Fish.. though.. Someone was chopping onions..

Maze runner - now there's 2 hours of my life I wont be getting back anytime soon :(

Yeah, it did look a bit terrible.

Inbetweeners 2 .......

Biggest load of tosh I have ever seen and I like the inbetweeners. Pointless, repetitive and not even remotely funny.

next film to watch is the green mile or shawshank redemption, just because.

If you only see one prison-set Stephen King movie, make it Shawshank.

Get the tissues ready if you're going to watch The Green Mile.

Despite my sig I can quite easily be moved to emotion by films, but GM just didn't do it for me.

Outsourced

The film the short-lived and little-seen US sitcom was based on covers much of the same ground, but with a gentler, more indie, sensibility. You can find the whole film on Youtube; not sure how legitimately.

The Hobbit 3

I'm sure anyone who's interested has seen a trailer. Entertaining, but lacking the emotional heft of LotR. (There were some sniffles around the cinema at one point, though). At least Jackson reigns in some of his comedy schtick (there's a sequence in one of the trailers that has been excised from the film).

Paddington

Nagged into seeing this by the "bonus daughters". Surprisingly entertaining and not as rubbish as the first trailer looked (the second has most of the best bits apart from the "hard stare"). Worth a look if you have little 'uns, but unless you're a big fan not really worth a cinema outing as an adult.

Saw that yesterday morning. I rather liked it. To sum it up in one sentance would be:

Burny, burny, talky, talky, fighty, fighty, fighty, fighty, sniffle.

Exodus - Gods and Kings

Christian gets biblical. Looks good, goes on for far too long before fizzling out. Not enough "sense of wonder" and too religious for the New Rationalist brigade but (oddly) tries to downplay the God aspect so probably annoying for the Strident Christians.

The Xmas binge consisted of Idiocracy (good idea, not that funny), The Hole (Joe Dante - what happened to you?), The Lego Movie (overrated IMHO), Finding Christmas (with the missus - honest!), Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (OKish), Possession (the A.S. Byatt one - loved it), Into the Storm (not a patch on Twister), Gnomeo and Juliet (far too much Elton), and the first 4 Fast & Furious movies (surprisingly good/where's Vin/where's Paul/ludicrous but fun).
