LeMarchand Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Don't use RSAT, so can't comment on that. I think the Start Menu concept might be better but as it makes the icons for any installed apps look blurred, and if I pin any "Metro" style apps it won't let me pin non-Metro it's still not much use.

FN-GM Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 I find it a little strange that that the picture on the login screen has from from Square on Windows 8 to round on Windows 10. However all the icons have gone square style compered to Windows 8.

Gatt Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 I still get issue with a blank Ctrl+Alt+Del screen.. Fresh build of 10074 and updated to 10122 didn't fix it and happening on a physical laptop and any VM... It's fine up until it gets the CAD policy and then removes the wallpaper from the lock screen
LeMarchand Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Grrr. Noticed the latest update has set Edge/Spartan/Bono as the default browser. Surely a bit of a dodgy change? Also sets it as the default pdf viewer.

Dodgy because of the whole "browser choice" farrago - surely changing my default browser away from whatever I have set it to is asking for more complaints about monopolies? (Assuming this persists on the release version).

The update behind this notification is KB3035583, which also happens to be responsible for the actual Windows 10 upgrade process. 1

I see that Enterprise versions of the OS will have some kind of route via Software Assurance (which I assume means new installation source) but other versions seem to need to upgrade via Windows Update (which will be a bit of a PITA).
Garacesh Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I was under the impression yes, it will be a new installation source, create new image, etc. It's possible the SA copy will have an 'Upgrade' option like older Windows installers have had, but I've not seen anything for certain. I think a Windows Update-based installation would be a bigger PITA than making a new image..
