mrbios Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Just read this on another forum: 10159 released to the fast ring (available now) 10160 released to the manufacturing (not available until July 29th 2015) So it looks like 10159 could be the last build we'll get! There was no links or anything posted with that though, so no idea where he got the information or if it's even true.
JRowley Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Almost certainly wont be true, 10158/10159 are good builds, but they still have issues that would need to be addressed before RTM, 10159 has only existed for 3 days including internal testing, so 10160 is even younger than that.

After upgrading to new builds you’ll be able to use local accounts once again, but during the upgrade, you must be signed in so Microsoft can do some licensing magic on the backend.

No, but it updated OK using the same trick I've had to use for the last few builds (Admin Powershell command) - just wouldn't activate.

halbaradkenafin Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 10162 ISO is available to download as well. Just make sure to get the US version of 64 bit as the UK version is actually the 10130 ISO still (or was when I tried downloading it).

You never give the missus anything that beta, pre-release or brand new, you always, ALWAYS, wait till at least the first service pack appears. Last thing you want is to come home from work and have her moaning at you for breaking her machine. It's a sure way to guarantee you skipping a release\version.
synaesthesia Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Absolutely fuming about the changes to Family Safety. Got around to trying to set it up today expecting the same as Windows 8. Wrong. It's now entirely online, you have to set them up a Microsoft account, with a password (with the same 8 character plus minimum length requirement) and manage it online. The idea is good, so they can sign in with that account anywhere and still be monitorable. But it fails massively; even though you can set them up a "Picture Password" where they draw a password instead of type a ludicrously long one, it's besides the point. I'm still looking for a workaround, but as it stands it appears as if the offline Family Safety option is dead in the water. Thanks, Microsoft.
