It's not "every now and again", it's constantly while you're playing the game.

Unless you are playing games 24/7 every day of the year, then it would be every now and again in the grand scheme of things. :)

Its has to be on 24/7 to give it time to install the games in the first place ;)

And I swear they claimed old controllers wouldn't work because reasons.

For something that doesn't work because the entire thing has been redesigned, it looks to be working fine to me.

Teen fooled by eBay scam is given a real Xbox One for free

 

Nineteen year old Peter Caltworthy from Nottingham was shocked when he received a picture of an Xbox One instead of the actual console, after forking out £450 following a ‘successful’ bid on eBay.

 

The auction was entitled 'XBox One Fifa Day One Edition, Photo Brand New UK 2012' and placed by a seller with 100 per cent positive feedback; furthermore it was listed in the consoles category on the auction site.

I wondered how long it would be before someone spotted that. :)

 

Isn't it illegal to have a baby with a 14 or 15 year old girl? If so, why isn't he in prison for being a paedophile! :confused:

Because he'd also have been 15 at the time and that's not illegal in this country, just stupid!

Xbox One System Update

 

This update addresses the following:

 

  • Addresses SmartGlass issues for some users when coming in and out of connected standby
  • Addresses multiplayer issues for some users when re-joining games
  • Addresses issues with inconsistent notifications for some users
  • Addresses dashboard performance for some users
  • Offers improvements for Xbox One’s TV, system update, and content update services for scaling over time
  • Updated wireless networking driver to improve connectivity issues for some users

We’ve got quite a few updates planned for the next year based on the community feedback we’ve been seeing, and I’ll have details on those in the future.

No mention of patching "that" security vulnerability though, seems a strange move... If I've understood it correctly, it is quite obviously a major bug; if a genuine dev mistyped their ID, they could brick their machine.

 

Its a hidden menu not a security hole? Are you talking about the ID for the upcoming indie dev program?

Basically if you go accessing hidden system settings and end up bricking it its not MS fault (as is the case for many many many electronics out there). Genuine devs could have been informed clearly that they must be careful when they got the code from MS.

Forza5 (which I got bundled in the day one pack) is still the only game I've bought for it so far! Nothing else has really caught my eye and I think I'm struggling to come to terms with the £50 price tag of the rest of the games! Hard to justify when you think how many games you could buy on the steam sale for that amount of money. Hoping it'll drop to the usual £35-40 after Xmas when the hype has died down slightly.

 

I think I'll pick up Halo: Spartan Assault when it's released on the 24th though

 

Other than that it's looking like the next game I'm going to get for it will be Titanfall in March!
