Xbox One update arriving in March, white console later this year « The Verge

Microsoft is preparing to release its first major Xbox One dashboard update in March. Sources familiar with the plans have revealed to The Verge that the update will focus on fixing a number of issues with the Xbox Live service on the console, alongside other system fixes.

The anonymous forum poster also claims Microsoft will release a white version of its Xbox One console in October alongside the launch of Sunset Overdrive. A 1TB version of the Xbox One is rumored for release a month later in November. The Verge can confirm Microsoft is indeed planning to release its white employee-only Xbox One this year. Other rumors shared by the anonymous forum poster include the possibility of an Xbox One without a Blu-ray drive, a Bluetooth adapter, and launch dates for the console worldwide. While it's unclear if a disc-less Xbox One will make it to market, The Verge can also confirm Microsoft has been testing versions of its console without a Blu-ray drive.

^ The Xbox One should have come with a 1TB HDD (or SSHD) in the first place.

They have also tweaked the scaling engine, assassins creed looks a lot better now.

Can make Forza look a bit junk in some places though but it is way better at signing in with Kinect for me now. Titanfall beta is also free and some good fun now, well once you yet again set the region to the US as they can't be stuffed releasing it for us.

The xboxone was the 74th best selling video game item in February on Amazon.co.uk and its widely available in stores. MS has press the panic button. Is a £30 drop enough? Edited by Theblacksheep

Factor in they are giving away a £505 game with it, the reality is that it's an £85 drop

Great deal, especially with titanfall...but what about the console on its own, at that price they're valuing it already at £350.

The Titanfall bundle is a stock limited offer I believe.

You got fifa for paying £20 on top, and Forza/Dead Rising/Ryse for paying £50 on top.

The "day1 edition" was £429 inc Forza (pre-orders and the leftovers). Shopto was selling the xboxone for £429 inc Fifa, in fact all of Europe got this deal.

Still waiting for them both to become dirt cheap like around the £200 mark! I refuse to pay that some of money now when in a year or two they will have dropped to that by then. It also means all the exclusive games I have missed I will be able to play years worth of video games when I buy them. Still don't get why people buy them the day they come out. Have patience my friends :)

They were available for some time and didnt sell out on day1.

Anyway, you can pre-order the TF xboxone bundle for £369 here:

Xbox One - Titanfall Bundle for Xbox One at GameStop

(PS4s sell for £329 at GS but they are sold out until April)

I didn't say they sold out on day 1, I said once they were sold you couldn't get the deal again.

Gamestop putting it at £369 with a £55 game actually makes it the same/better value than the PS4. So its still a reasonable bargain!

In regards to dropping to the £200 mark, considering the drops already introduced by MS, I expect Sony will fall in line shortly with one of their exclusive releases which are upcoming. Hopefully they end up having a price war and do drop down substantially! :)

Because if no one buys it day one through 600 or so they won't exist in two years for you to get cheaply and no one will have bothered making games for it as such you are 'standing on the sholders of giants' who paid the extra and gave it the market share and feedback it needed to survive and thrive that long.

^ That, and we we're suckered into it! What's that, you've made the purchasing decision? Placed your pre-order? Sorted your finances? Great, well guess what - that game you were after has been delayed 6 months - thanks Ubi :(

Debatable, but each to their own.

Sony cant supply enough PS4s to meet demand so they don't need to drop their prices any time soon.

Exactly! I'm currently loving my PS3 again. I bought 4 good games yesterday in CEX for under a tenner in total! I got Fifa 2012 for £1 haha.

Its always worth waiting for a while with these things :)

I was going to get an Xbox one when it came out as I have had the original and the 360, but when I saw the price, the screw up at the announcement and the fact the PS4 on screen graphics look better I simply did not bother getting one.

Not sure how they could have messed up so much and lost me as a customer.
