Made me chuckle actually, they've gone after the clocks - I mean, ALL of the clocks, inc. the Head's! haha... What pranks are they pulling at your schools? Or are they staying traditional and leaving it for a few weeks time, just before they leave? nab

Deputy head sent them down to the library I worked in to clean up....just as I finished taking them down! I kept one as a souvenir though. And there was the year group that tried the same trick but failed, then I found my face had been photo-shopped on to posters of Hitler and we had to draw the line.

Needless to say our local news broadcaster now requires a password before believing any information from our school. The same head of year had the same surname as a local stately house, and came in one day to find the road sign to that stately house hanging over her office door. 6
AMLinington Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I don't remember doing any pranks when I left school. All we did was write all over each others shirts. The clock one is quite funny though and fairly benign.

He collected them, removed his photo, and sold them on e-bay for a profit. Business studies in action... 2
featured_spectre Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 We put polystyrene in the schools ventilation system...little did we know that when heated and cooled by the ventilation system the stuff becomes toxic. The whole school was shut for a week to clear it up.

Not sure why they'd have to evacuate - as far as I know the only thing that can result from the degradation of polystyrene is acetone vapour, and even then I thought you had to burn it to get that. Apparently at my school someone led a cow into the school hall, which is upstairs. As cows have problems walking down stairs... Not sure whether that's true, or the prank is getting people to believe that story! I shall have to ask some long-serving colleagues tomorrow.

He didnt look happy. However today will be the test... we are sending them home early which they "dont" know to try avoid anthing stupid.

LOL yeah I remember that - they did that to the year above us - Year 11 got called into an 'assembly' then escorted class at a time out of the school gates. When it was our turn it was supposed to be 'secret' but we were pretty much prepared for it and when they called us into a 'leavers assembly' we knew what was going on. I wouldn't count on it being very secret if I were you... lol

The polystyrene melted in the airducts and was a continuous cycle of melting and reheating, the duct system had to be thoroughly scoured!

Mako Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 All I know of so far is 6th Form parking their cars across multiple bays in the car park. They're also wearing shorts, pyjamas, anything that is against their clothing policy. Nothing really inventive yet. More of a mild annoyance if anything, as I had to check CCTV to see who did it. The kids here aren't very good at pranks, they just like to cause frustration.

IIRC it was "shot down" by a caretaker with his Air rifle.... I hasten to add this was 1982! Our years 13 turned an area in school called Piccadilly into London Piccadilly and ran a disco in the library years ago they planted seed on the school fields that spelt out a swear word, months after they left when they grew !
