HI, does anyone use Intouch with a 365 redirect? I have a rule in 365 which redirects all emails addressed to [email protected] to [email protected] and also cc in a staff member here who deals with Intouch absences. She gets a copy of the email and says (getting near once a week nearly) it's not showing in Intouch, so we know it's a valid email. Does anyone have emails go missing when sent to Intouch? It's driving me nuts! Edit: I should have said that the emails appear in Intouch and staff mailbox fine for 10 days, then the Intouch email goes walkabouts until after lunch, then they start appearing again in Intouch. Not the missing emails, but only new ones.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the Summer 2013 Discover download link or point me to the resource on SupportNet where the link is. I am not sure if I am the only person or not that cannot find it but all i can find is the release notes which refer to the Discover CD but I receive no CD. Going crazy here trying to locate it so any help greatly appreciated ITSHA

Hi, I hope you can help. I am looking for a suitable MIS for our SEN school. We have 80 pupils and currently use School Pod as our MIS. We would like to move to a new MIS which allows us to create our own custom forms such as behaviour incidents, school trips, rewards etc. and allow us to design this ourselves with input boxes, selection boxes and preferably a body map for pupils which have been hurt in school. I am also looking to get analysis in the MIS such as incident graphs, assessment progress graphs etc. We previously tried the MIS called Engage but unfortunately didn't provided the level of analysis we needed. The MIS would need to be very good in terms of the analysis it can provide. Can you please recommend a suitable MIS for our SEN pupils? Thank you

We are a new independent school with 17 pupils and looking at Engage or ISAMS for our management system. What one is best for our school and cheapest as we dont need the full services and not looking to spend too much. thanks

Hello, Has anyone gone ahead with plans to launch a new MIS and/or Finance system during the C19 disruption? We were planning to complete our procurement but we are now concerned if the training/change management is too much of a risk during this time? Would be good to understand any experiences (positive and negative) if anyone has tried? Many thanks

One of my schools is looking to switch MIS, and they have received a pretty glowing recommendation for Pupil Asset. Just wanted to know if anybody is using, or has used this MIS, and could comment on it's value and usability?

Hi, we are using InVentry for Staff / Visitor Management which links to SIMS for pupil data. We are then using the InVentry Anywhere APP for fire evacuations. But this is hit and miss and we get the error "oops something went wrong" InVentry keep saying they are looking into it but this has been on going for weeks now and the school are getting annoyed. Does anyone else use this and does it work ok?

Hello EduGeek people. New member seeking thoughts and advice from the community. Are there any alternatives in the UK further education space to OneAdvanced's ProMonitor? Here's a (not very good) fact sheet on the product [https://www.oneadvanced.com/siteassets/resources/factsheet/advanced_factsheet_promonitor.pdf] It works in conjunction with other products in their 'ProSuite' range. Hopefully some users here are familiar with what it does. It seems quite uniquely positioned in the market, but it's VERY expensive and difficult to use, operate and maintain. It's not cloud-based, for a start. Getting data into the system seems overly complex and the UI is something akin to Windows XP. I'm aware of systems such as Bromcom and Arbour in the marketplace, but I'm not sure they quite cover the feature set of Promonitor. I'd be grateful for some feedback from people already using the system, or those who've used it in the past and have moved on to something else. Thank you.

I am in Baku, Azerbaijan and have been set the task of finding a MIS system. The school extends from primary to secondary (post-16). At present everything is done on paper (nightmare) but as a developing school we are keen to investigate and implement a robust system. If anyone is in Azerbaijan or know of overseas and UK companies that cover this country or would be willing to, then please help me. I have read loads of threads but am still researching - any help would be welcomed.

Hi All our MIS does not support the ctf file format "more info here about ctf" its an over complicated xml file that my admin team cannot possibly go through. My question is, does anyone here have a conversion tool i can use for that file ? the alternative would be to custom make one using c# or something like that but that would take ages and my admin team need this asap so just seeing if anyone here has such a tool or know of one they have used before ? Thanks in advance! X

I have considerable experience leading the procurement function of a local authority - with a focus on education. Just wanted to add some points of clarification following some recent threads I saw: It is true what some authors have said about moving from server-based software to cloud-based software not being a simple 'upgrade' or contract variation. This becomes a material change to the product purchased by the school(s) and should be the subject of a new procurement. This could be via a framework as opposed to you undertaking an exercise yourselves When thinking about your procurement strategy for MIS, you mustn't define MIS as a bronze (simple, low value, low risk) contract. You can search for the 'Contract Tiering Tool' from the Knowledge Hub for help with defining gold, silver, bronze contracts. This will have a knock-on effect on how you undertake the financial assessment of bidders and suppliers. And it should mean that you will not rely purely on delphi scores from credit referencing agencies and you should undertake a full assessment. You can also search the Cabinet Office's assessing the economic and financial standing of suppliers for a guide on how to do the financial assessment. If you do not have the in-house expertise to do this, you can buy-in support. You assign a weighting to price. This normally depends on your assessment of how 'standardised' the good is - the more standardised the good (say taxi services, or waste collection) the heavier weighting you would assign to price. The less standardised (say alternative provision for pupils at risk of exclusion) the heavier weighting you would apply to quality. You can find advice online about how to decide price/quality ratios on government websites and from legal firms experienced in public services. If you see 2-3 recent tenders for MIS's and they have applied consistent price/quality ratios, it's probably safe to assume it has been well thought through Some frameworks will have undertaken the financial assessment of suppliers, but some will not have, so you need to check the particulars of the framework you're considering. An obvious point - but you need to be very transparent and very fair. Don't put yourself in a position where you could subconsciously favour a particular supplier. Or a position where you leave yourself open to challenge from unsuccessful suppliers. For example, if you are part of a group of schools, and a prospective bidder is already delivering in some of your schools so they have access to staff, make sure they do not receive any more information about the upcoming tender than other prospective bidders. Try not to accept any freebies from suppliers and don't allow relationships with contract managers to become more than just professional (barbecues, lunches, holidays - it happens more than you would think!) I'm happy to try to clarify any further procurement queries.
