See what permission they have Send-As or Send on behalf via the EamC. Ask what is required & set, remove the other option not needed. As for where the sent items should appear, ask what is required , in their sent items, or the shared mailbox, then set appropiately.
-
Just make sure the OAB & OST have been deleted, un tick that check box.
-
You cant, you will have to use the search-mailbox with the -deletecontent zwitch as a seperate cmdlet.
-
So it works via OWA, just not Outlook? Have you tried in online mode again? Delete the OST & OAB files thrn configure online mode.

Can you do this simple test for me and let me know the results. 1.Start Outlook. 2.Hold down the Ctrl key, right-click the Outlook icon in the notification area, and then click Test E-mail AutoConfiguration. 3.Verify that the correct email address is in the E-mail Address box. 4.In the Test E-mail AutoConfiguration window, click to clear the Use Guessmart check box and the Secure Guessmart Authentication check box. 5.Click to select the Use AutoDiscover check box, and then click Test -

How many AD sites do you have ? Any firewalls or ACL between the networks? -
Consider using online archives. Even PST backups are a pain. The time to deploy a archiving system & then move to Exch Personal Archives is another headace. Cant you increase mbx storage/invest in more bacend storage & import PST files in mailbox then lockdown PSTfiles.

Yea, should be fine, last time I was only able to get a 2013 license for 2010 as they had stopped selling 2010 ones.
-
Does ti work from OWA?
-
I'm 90% sure that it isn't supported, only Exch 2010 is.

You can look into creating a shell script which is scheduled to run which sets the custom attribute. Theres also the scripting cmdley which may do this for you.

exchange asking for credentials every time its opened
sukh replied to RabbieBurns's topic in Enterprise Software
Hit the ctrl key and right click the outlook icon then choose the test-autoemailconfiguration, only check on the first box (unticj the both guest options) and run the test. Pleae post the result here. -
This could be related to you not having a PTR record setup & the FQDN on the send connector. Typically your ISP will create this record or if you manage your external DNS you can set this up.

And you are 100 % sure this only occured when the users changed their password? Are you using PF ? I assume the other users dont have additional mbx's open? Do you still have a user with this issue? -

[ms office - 2010] Outlook Defaulting to old exchange

OK, the only strange thing is why the server is picking up the old server 3 even if the CAS array exists. Do you know what's specified on the RPCClientAccess attribute on the DB's? -

What's the old server? 2003? 2010? Do you have a CAS Array defined? Using PF? Load balancing CAS array? -
