  1. Hello All, I have an issue with a printer on two desktops. I had installed at first a Kyocera 3050ci driver on these computers running on Windows 7. The printer was a demo and once it was taken back I installed our Kyocera FS-C2126MFP with the driver I have used on other computers. The issue is that now the FS-C2126MFP does not print for those two desktops. It prints for all other PCs but not those two. In the computer it shows as if the printer is up and running and when a print job is sent it shows as if it printed and completed the job. But on printer it shows as if no print job was received. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple time and nothing. I have tried restarting the spooler and nothing. I know that the PCs reach the printer because I can ping it. Also, other computers are printing just fine so it is not an issue with the printer. I have ran out of ideas. I am not sure if the driver of the demo Kyocera is interfering with the current one. Please advise on what I can try. Thank you
  2. I am running MS SyncToy to sync some personal files from my laptop with an external hard drive. I am using Windows 7 and have used the task scheduler to automate it. What I want it to do is to run upon a certain event. When My Passport is plugged into the usb port I want the task to run. Can a trigger be set on the laptop so it knows the hard drive is plugged in? I am not sure where these event is logged so it can trigger the task. Your suggestion is greatly appreciated.
  3. So I thinking I might have found the problem the firewall was block the SIP. 4. It sounds good. I will look into it.
  5. Yeah I figured that there would be some cost involved. Either way I will bring up the option to management and will see what they say. Thanks
  6. So we have two Kyocera FS-C2126MFP+ in our office. One to service each side of the office. I have added the printers to the employees PCs through the IP. The issue we ran into is that someone printed out 150 pages of empty Excel spread sheets. My question is what can I put in place to prevent this. I did not want to pursued searching for the culprit but I did want to prevent this from reoccurring. From the settings on the printer there is no way of setting a limit on a single print job. Please advise on what solution you guys have. Thank you
  7. Thanks Jamesfed for your response. In in our situation it can not be the Power Saving mode because other setups have been done the same in other locations with no issue. As for the faulty nic did you see anything that led to that conclusion in your logs? As I said before it really varies when it happens here. Last month we had no issues at all. Last week we had the issues three days in a row. Also when I check the events log I see entrie like these: 27.02.2013-10:05:44 Error 0x00060004 Major H323 Signaling Timeout(25->33) 27.02.2013-09:55:47 Error 0x00050002 Major RTP Excessive loss of Data 27.02.2013-09:41:22 Error 0x00070007 Major SIP Internal error on media negotiation But according to our tech in Austria, the logs doesn't show why we lose connectivity with our SIP Trunk.
  8. I wanted to see if you guys can give me idea where this issue might be arising from. Scenario: We have Comcast as our internet service provider in the office. We use a company called GPhone to provide us with our SIP trunk. For our hardware we have a German phone system called Innovaphone. We use the same hardware with different providers in many countries without any issues. Problem: Every once a week or twice a week (actually just randomly) we have issues receiving calls. The system shows as if everything is running OK but we can not receive call from an external number. We are able to call within the office and we can even call external numbers but can not receive incoming calls when the error occurs. The problem is that our technician in Europe says that he sees nothing on the logs and Comcast says everything is perfect on their side. I am still waiting on a response from GPhone. The only thing we can do is to disable the SIP on our system and then enable it again for it to start working correctly. It seems as if there is an error and the connection to the SIP is not established automatically. The problem is that we do not receive any errors so we do not know the phones are down until someone is informed that the calls cant go in. I wanted yo know if anyone has any idea what could be the issue? I don't know if the issue can be through the provider of the SIP Trunk, the hardware, or ISP. Any suggestion will be really appreciated.
  9. Thanks to all you guys. The issue turned out to be out of my hands. It seems that there was a routing problem between Lichtenstein (where our Exchange server is located) and the USA. After discussing the issue with Telecom in Liechtenstein they rerouted to bypass one of their providers and that did the trick. We are now able to send and receive emails to those addresses.
  10. Hi Ya'll, I have been puzzled for a while now. There have been a couple of emails sent from my company and we have been haveing issues getting them delivered. In one occasion me and and a second employee emailed two other seperate employees in a company. We got back each the following reply from our Exchange server: Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: [email protected] The server has tried to deliver this message, without success, and has stopped trying. Please try sending this message again. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk. On a second occasion another employee tried emailing another individual in a separate company but he did not receive a undelivered reply. He received no information but the email was not delivered. Also, on our log it shows that it was delivered. I know they are two different occasions and outcomes but I ran a address verification on the web for all 3 emails and I am told server doesn't allow email address verification. Can this be the reason why they are not delivered? When sending the email from a Gmail it works but from our Exchange it does not. Is there a setting that doesn't allow Exchange to deliver to email address that are not verified? Please let me know if anyone of you dealt with this before. Thank you
  11. So my company subscribed to use GoToAssist Expert. There is a option to use Unattended Support and withing in that to Power On a machine that is currently shut off via WakeOnLAN. My issue is that the Power On option works on the laptops but for some reason does not on our desktops. When selected the laptop will boot up completely and get ready for a remote session using GoToAssist. On the desktop it acts as if it is starting up but it never boots it just shows a blinking cursor on the local screen. I thought might be the boot sequence but it is not it since the laptop is configured the same. They are both running Windows 7 Pro, both HPs, and both have the exact same set up. I am a puzzled as to why it hangs on the desktop. Any suggestion is appreciated. Sorry for the long explanation.
  12. So we ended up going with MDT2012 as some of you recommended. I got to say I am happy with it. Thanks for the advice.
  13. Hi, I wanted to get a feed back from you guys on what you think is best. We have a Windows Server 2008 server and want to deploy a Windows 7 to two sets of laptops and one pcs. The ones im trying to decide on is wether to use Microsoft Deployment Tool kit, SmartDeployment, or Acronis Snap Deploy. What you guys think is best? What are advantages/disadvantages? Thanks for your feed backs.
  14. Hello All, My company has order multiple HP laptops and desktops. I was wondering if there was a tool to create an image and later select what drivers each hardware needs to get. Or must I create two seperate images one for each hardware? I am trying to see if I can change the drivers as the computers get upgraded and newer models change. Also, if a new service pack is released I would like to be to able to implement it to the image. Please advice me on any software that can aid me with this? Thank you
  15. Hello All, Im having a small issue with the company's emails. I had a user on Friday complain that his Outlook 2003 was re-downloading his previously read emails. Then today it happened to me with Outlook 2007 and another user with Entourage. All the company is set to using a web based email using POP accounts. Also, the option of leaving a copy on the server is selected. Since we are given 10gb of email space per user I thought it a good idea to leave a copy on the server. My question is why does this occur and how can I prevent it from happening to other users? Thanks
