  1. See this - Transport Rule Predicates: Exchange 2013 Help Or if you do an OoO this may work too, but what are the chances the applicant will apply for more than 1 job over a given period...
  2. Can you explain in more detail? Public Folder Calendars or mbx? How are you publishing them?
  3. Can you do the verbose again and post the exact command you executed.
  4. Cache mode is still recommended for most deployments, not just for remote users. If you have an Exch outage and you don't know how long it will take to recover, at least users can still access the email (which is kinda critical nowadays for most) and continue to work. They can still compose emails and send (let it sit in their Outbox) and it will send when service is restored. People hardly notice if there's an Exch outage if in cache mode, in online mode, people will. Reduce server impact, i.e indexing a query takes place local rather than the server. Don't need to worry about rebuilding indexes for your DAG. Old, but a FYI - Cached Mode - Bill & Greg's Most Excellent Adventure - Site Home - TechNet Blogs Outlook 2013 has major improvements for offline access. I do see scenarios whereby cache mode can be a pain but this depends on the env and how end users use email.
  5. 1. Does it not send at all? Or only to internal/external? 2. Do you still have the receive connector setup? 3. Does it use SMTP or does it logon to a mailbox? Authentication etc...? 4. Up the protocol logging on the connector and check.
  6. Be careful when you do that, bear in mind you may get an email loop. If it's always from the same external recipient you can ask them to make an exception, likewise you can too to help you both. If the external sender is different then use a transport rule.
  7. It's not like the OS whereby every hour the screen will go black of Windows will shutdown, it keeps on running. So even though you dont actually buy a licenses for Exch and install it, you would have to buy for the OS as it will keep shutting down (something you dont want in your prod env), saying that, you should buy a license anyway :-) Not just a windows OS license.
  8. It doesn't reduce any funtionality, unless you were using a version that I have not used. The trial version as full functionality.
  9. You dont need to enter the key anywhere for Exch. It's a honour based license. They trust you have bought the license that's all, but you will get an annoying pop to say you need to register but that goes away.
  10. 1. Post the 2080 event in the app log 2. Post all your URL's for all your services and Run the Test-Autoconfiguration from the client (Hold Ctrl and right click the Outlook icon) and follow instruction, untick the Guess options.
  11. add verbose logging at the end i.e -verbose in your export command what does it say?
  12. Get-MailboxDatabase "DB Name" | fl *Index* What does this return?
  13. So what happens if you run the below ? Can you post the results? Test-ExchangeSearch –Identity
  14. Get yourself the log parser (free) and that will let you create reprts and query the logs for a particular user.
  15. As you have a case open with MS, can you detail the steps you have done already?
  16. If they dont have rights to perform those tasks they cant do anything. Or create roles and restrict thrm Dont let them logon to server, use RSAT and permission them to look at event logs.
  17. Sp level and rollup? exch topology?
  18. Just cached mode for now :-)
  19. How to disable session caching in IE8 - Microsoft Community
  20. you can do that with exch 2010 & 2013 but not 2007.
  21. Why not give permission to do this on behalf on the user or setup as deleagte, the issue is the way it's working which to me seems to be by design. I can verify this for you tomorrow but you may need to change the way they work.
  22. Exch uses distribution lists, create one and add staff to it.
  23. Do you get this error internally joined client or externally? If internal, can you flushdns and test again, restart IE and test again?
  24. Some sort of authentication isn't setup correctly. What exactly has changed? Where does ISA point to now 2010 or 2003? If 2010, look at the IIS Logs and post relevant section so I can see. Check logs on ISA too. Run ExchRCA and lets see if that gives anymore info.
  25. im referring to olk 2013 & exch 2003. This does not work as it's not supported. Your issue is different
