Looks good! Been playing with my new Galaxy Tab for about a week now. Bloody good device, a bit too good in some respects. So much so I seem to be neglecting my poor Nexus Had a play with an iPad and then the Tab, and I know its all personal preference but the Tab being a smaller size just seemed to fit better and a personal tablet, right size to just carry like a digital Filofax or star trek pad. iPad is good for planned time, find a desk and work, not really the size to just whip out and play/work with.

I don't want to be a dooms day preacher, but i just tried to buy one of them Notion Ink Adam’s but got a decline from my credit card company. Got a nice automated voice on my answer machine, basically urging me to call LLoydsTSB Froud centre. The transaction was for around £260 but instead of being for an IT/electronics firm, the money was attempting to go to a utility firm Gas/Electric WTF??. I talked to nice lady at Lloyds and best action was to put a freeze on my card and get a new one issued. So, i'm not going to say DON'T get one as it could be legit, heaven knows there are lots of iffy yet legit Chinese tablet computers around.

Bit odd you want to promote and start a forum about schools and the free exchange of ideas on one of if not the most successful school ICT forums around? what are you hoping to achieve? what will make me move from edugeek to yours? P.S i like cake! if that helps?

1st question would be, is it random or are you doing something that requires intense cpu/ram. eg gaming, video rendering, heavy multitasking... Could be temperature relating, getting to hot or your BIOS temp warning set to low? Could be your RAM Or HDD try running a recovery cd (Spinrite…) P.s driver problem, done an update lately?

I'm more concerned with how much it's going to cost, we have had the 100mb fiber connection and before all this CLEO BT transfer was talked about BT already said they could never match the cost we are getting it at from CLEO, they was talking of a figure around the £14k mark . Could be we get a good personal discount from DABS?.... #justasking you never know who is watching Could not make it to today's tech meeting so will have to hear 2nd hand what was talked about in relation to this matter. If some one could post any news, that would be nice!

did you do a bios reset, there should be a pin jumper that needs moving over, not just removing the battery.

Personal i would get a question about schools becoming academies, its just BSF in disguise.

Tell him/her it’s a potential security vulnerability to have servers named after what they do! Still like my Spiceworks server name - Dune

I was debating if to post a constructive comment like that but restrained myself. So hats off to you, lol -
We have just gone through an LCC safety audit and one of the things pointed out is the lack of risk assessment done for the jobs done in the network office. I was hoping some one could show me an example of there risk assessment form and how in practice it works. I'm getting the feeling it would be almost impossible to do our day to day job filling a form for every job we do, especial when collared in corridor and choose to fix the thing there and then. "Sorry hold on, before i fix your computer i just need to fill in this 10page risk assessment" a bit hyperbole but we (here) just need to get into that sort of mind set, and starting with a basic form for jobs done in office, once basic jobs are files we can refer to them. So what i guess i'm hoping to get is a sample network office risk assessment pdf and how you use it day to day, please, thank you very much

Bloody hell, them sort of video's freak me out every time! But it's all to true. I was in town weekend, walked past a mother who passed there child (No more then 3 years old) a can of full fat coke, poor kid laid down in pram gulping it. I think its was mother trying easy way to shut kid up for a bit, but could be she does not know its not good for kids to have such a high fat/sugar diet. Might cycle home the long way tonight!

Very good point! According to http://www.cleo.net.uk/getfile.php?src=1112/MIDAS+Update+4_April+2010_Final.pdf we are supposed to have parental reporting, hope to hear back from CLEO soon.

They are very much the same, true. Never though much of the SenseUI when i had my Hero, For me now its all about battery time. I just hope the next big development will be a better battery. All well and good having 1.5gh snapdragon (Snapdragon (processor) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) if battery life can support it. Having to charge my phone every night and even middle of afternoon on heavy use get bloody annoying sometimes.
