We got our internet provider to turn it off as they control this area of the XG. There are two authentication methods that are running on the box, one was WMI and if the XG dddin't get a timely repsonse every ten minutes the user was logged out, the other was data and the user had to use 10mb per hour. We had WMI turned off and the data limit dropped to 500k.

We have turned off the WMI polling on the XG box and that appears to have stopped the issue as it is set to check back veery ten minutes and if there is a delay the user is logged out. All is working as it should at the moment.

Have a bit of a random issue with STAS in that random users get kicked off the internet and have to sign in via the captive protal to gain access. All users are in the same authentication group and all computers have the same settings. However the majority work fine but random ones get kicked off, anyone come across this?

I am running a Moodle 2.5.2 on Windows Server 2008 R2, with PHP 5.3.19 installed. I am trying to get the APC Cache Plug in working to help improve performance. I have been following the kink in the Moodle Docs (as well as others) from here - Installing APC in Windows - MoodleDocs I have added the module but cannot get the PHP extension to load in order to be able to configure it in Moodle. I saved the required file for PHP 5.3 into the Ext folder and edited the PHP.ini, restarted and nothing. Is there something I am missing, any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have had One Connect create a gateway to our system so we can get external access to our new internal moodle. The redirect in our ISA server and the gateway are fine, have spent the last day or so on these, but we keep getting strange problems with Moodle. Initially our "config.php" file was set to our internal address http://moodle.moodle24 this worked fine internally. To fit with the redirect we changed this to Redirect initially the site could be seen externally but some of the graphics where not rendering correctly. Internally the site could not now be accessed as it got the page "This site can only be accessed via http://moodle24.olchs.lancs.sch.uk/moodle24.” It then tried to redirect and went round in a loop. The site is built in windows server 2008 R2 using IIS7, I have no HTTP redirects set, when I set these the site cannot be displayed. Do we know any way to get the site to work internally and externally? is this a PHP issue and if so what needs adding? Can two entries be made in config.php? Any help would be appreciated.

I think that one has gone, I do remember that forum and it seems unfindable now.

I have control of the Filter at County for our school so can unblock items I wish. Is that facility not available in your area?
