If you want an idea of how much data a SIP trunk will use this is ours. Look at the entries in the list with voip in the address name, this is over 7 days to our onsite PBX. The SIP trunk is for 10 lines and the PBX has 150 extensions (though extensions to PBX traffic is not show here, this is purely the trunk). We have around 1500 calls a day both internal and external processed by the PBX.

We just use the Basic Microsoft Mouse on our older intel iMacs with USB A ports. Keyboards have some XtremeMac and some from MacAlley , used the XtremeMac mice on our latest iMacs as they are USB C. I would say contact an Apple education specialist like KRCS as they will have Mac wired keyboards and mice for sale.

I loved my 6th Gen Nano. I am starting to move away from streaming services and buying physical again and if CD ripping and syncing with my iPhone, it did feel better having a dedicated music player.

So far I can only find RM Smart Tools 2.2 CD 2 , should be 3 discs to work, 2.2 CD1 and an upgrade CD. I will keep hunting. I did have a look in my Nostalgia box and found the following RM things. RM Virtual CD (Sealed) RM Easy Mail RM Tutor RM Intranet 2000 RM Easy Link RM CC Manuals (3 of these) Some RM Connect station disk Box and Manual only, no setup media RM Internet Communications Server 2 more boxes of RM Tutor and Intranet but sealed boxes.

Will have to see if I can find those , I put them somewhere safe a few years ago and we know what putting something somewhere safe usually means.

I've got a big box I keep in the server room which has a lot of RM Connect 2.x era stuff. Have a soft spot for that system, so much so in my student days at college I paid my lecturer £50 to sneak into the college server room, nab the RM Connect install discs, copy them and give to me so I could have RM Connect on my home network. Also got 2 RM 386 PC's I've refused to chuck for the last 18 years here, though cases are yellowing a little. Not a fan of RM after that era, but Connect 2.4 and earlier was very useful for managing Windows 9x clients.

We moved from SIMS to iSAMS in 2017 , very happy with iSAMS, the fact its 100% web based and has Teacher, Student and Parent apps is great.

We use Fortigate for our Firewall and filtering to some devices with Forti Analzyer for some logging. We then use Lightspeed on student devices for Filtering/Safeguarding/Monitoring on student iPads and Mac's in the labs.

Since 2012 I've used Apples Profile Manager on a Mac Mini, moved to Lightspeed MDM , then JAMF. JAMF is the best I've used, we manage 2100 iPads and 450 Mac's with it. JAMF is also what Apple use themselves (or at least did) in the Apple Stores.

(I've covered the names in red) The Office 365 integration supports Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel, so anything done via these on an iPad will be monitored.

We have 1:1 iPad and use Lightspeed. Monitors web searches , YouTube searches onsite and at home, also monitors Office 365 content (Word documents, Outlook etc) . Has the advantage of not requiring the students to login to get internet so long as you have a username assigned to the device in your MDM like JAMF.

1) We are 100% Mac in all our Labs not just music, I would stay wired keyboard and mice, wireless is asking for trouble they will go missing or lose charge at a bad time. Companies like KRCS will give you wired and money back for the wireless ones. 2) We do have Logic in our Music lab, they just save to their network home folder which we auto redirect Documents, Desktop, Downloads etc at login. 3) We manage with JAMF.

Since you are on a fixed tariff I'm guessing you are paying around 16p a kWh? Standard Variable is capped it around 27p kWh now, but is going to go up by around 63% in October so between 45p and 50p a kWh I'm expecting. So thats around 3x your current price, so I find it strange they have increased your DD to more like 8x your current cost. So unless you don't have gas and electric is used for heating and hot water too I would say the DD has been overly increased.

I'm not sure how it would work in a shared environment. We Sync our AD Users with JAMF, then in JAMF assign that user to an iPad, which Lightspeed then reads as the $EMAIL so no need to authenticate, but we can do that because that iPad is allocated to that student.

We are a 1:1 deployment, so no logging in to the iPads. The Lightspeed app with those configurations allows for silent authentication so they don't have to sign in to get internet access via LightSpeed.

This is what I use for our LightSpeed iPad Configuration. In our MDM (JAMF Pro) we set the owner of each iPad which is the field $EMAIL and thats is what LightSpeed then uses as the Username.

So now I'm going to have a load redundant lightning cables over the next few years. So does this mean nobody can ever advance now and create better ports that are used for charging? Because if USB-D is say made how would you be able to put it on a phone? As the EU say it has to have USB-C for charging, no if's no but's . If the EU then said USB-D is fine, you then end up back where you are now, with 2 common charging ports. Considering Apple were very involved in the making of the USB-C standard, went all in on USB-C with their MacBooks 7 years ago and some of their iPads have USB-C we know they are not anti USB-C, in fact the opposite. I think this is another case of the EU sticking their nose in where it is not wanted. I think this will stifle innovation. Apple had to invent the 30 Pin connector because USB at the time was too slow, remember the first iPod used Firewire because USB was just not up to it. 10 years ago Apple could have used MicroUSB instead of Lightning but Lightning is a better port and can be plugged in to the port in either direction. I'm also guessing some protocol compatibility too with speaker systems, cars and docks made them make lighting instead of using MicroUSB.
