If the List is a SharePoint list then it could be the regional settings are set to the default US. I have to remember every time I setup a new SharePoint site to change the regional settings to UK formatt

We use iSAMS and MSP - it pulls the exam timetables, results and can pull access arrangements as well if you enable that content. They had a change to the exam options a while ago which are a huge improvement - and pupils can enable their parents/guardians to see results as well if they want. What are the specific thing you need from a Portal? That might be easier to address than what it can't do!

Be intrigued to see if the Curriculum Manager does actually show up in January having been promised it so many times before! Would be good if the improvements to reporting and access to data via Power-BI come soon. Would have liked to see some of the responses to the Q&A as I had several similar questions.

Before running the SPMT I used PowerShell to clean up (delete) folders like the recycle bin. I removed access to their home folders at the start of the process having emailed users beforehand so they knew there would be a brief period when they wouldn't be able to access their files.

Power Automate - Send e-mail to external recipient upon form completion
River replied to Bankesy's topic in Cloud Services
You need to use the field where the email address has been entered as the to email address, which should be on the "use data from previous step". If you want to DM me, happy to help- 1 reply

We very rarely have an external cover teacher. Any internal cover usually involves work being set and another teacher making sure the class do it

Separate sites as the Head of Department can own and manage. Also, they are using the Teams element so can have internal chat/meetings which was handy during lockdown. Data for all staff is in an all staff SharePoint site, with only some staff able to edit this so it hasn't become a place for all files. So far seems to work fine.

We have SharePoint sites for each subject and then just let the department heads deal with that. Staff are getting better at sharing links and not emailing files all over the place and creating multiple copies.

I find that having the exam timetable, and knowing how many students have IT requirements for each exam ahead of time helps as you can see when the likely stress points will be. The English exams almost always will need support as someone can't login or print out their exam answers. Being available for the start and end of exams with a large IT requirement is a must. And tell staff who phone/pop-in with non exam problems that you are prioritising external exam support so they need to send an email with details of the problem. Document time spent and any issues so that you know for future exams, and keep in regular contact with the EO so they are always kept in the loop.

Also getting random 'chunk' errors when loading admin pages or just completely blank pages this week and buttons not working.

teams SDS updates the owner (admin panel) but not for users (user panel)
River replied to KK20's topic in Cloud Services
I've had a similar issue where the owner cannot see the Team, but is showing as owner. Removing and re-adding them to the Team solved this -

All new pupil accounts created by Salamander in first week of holidays. Send login details out in last week of holidays, there is usually some change in who is/isn't coming after the exam results but having it all done early saves many headaches!

With you on this one - it is really frustrating as we think the co-curricular module will solve a lot of our activities/music lesson issues but there is no sign of the module still I update various reports with SSRS and am happy to help out anyone with queries on this. I like being able to set up permissions by group/module/user, but dislike not being able to then login as a user to see what they can see. I find that the documentation on the support site is usually very helpful.

Power automate or power apps for basic forms approval?
River replied to jblackburnHWGA's topic in Cloud Services
If you use Office 365 you could use Forms, or there is the Approval app in Teams. There is a workflow App that combines the two which could work for leave requests. -

Does anyone else use Steer AS Tracking for analysing students wellbeing/mental health? Every time we use it there seems to be nothing but technical issues which causes a lot of stress to everyone (me included!). Even with all the advice from Steer the tracking never runs smoothly. If anyone has moved to a different product I would be interested to know what, and if the experience is any better. Feel free to PM me Thanks in advance
