I've had this before, it's a fairly simple fix. Log onto the machine as administrator and locate the file MSO.DLL, rename it to MSO.DLL.OLD then open up outlook or any office program, Msiexec will recognise that the file is missing and re-install the DLL. This problem is caused due to exchange cached mode and is a know MS issue, cant recall the KB though. D

I'd go down a different route if your wanting good fast expandable storage and get something similar to a Fujitsu Eternus DX80, its easily expandable and can be attached to any server. http://www.fujitsu.com/downloads/STRSYS/system/dx80_datasheet.pdf We use these in our setups where we run virtualization, 2 identical servers both fibre attached to the DX80 runnig VMWare and vMotion for a quick recovery if one server fails all the VMachines transfer accross and you only get <1ms downtime. Thats one use, but we also use them on Windows Server's and just map them as a normal drive in explorer. D

Open up IIS and drill down to your Default Website folder. Right click and select permissions and add the groups you want to be able to access the website giving them read access only. Click Ok Right click on your default website again and select properties Select the directory security tab Click Edit on the Authentication and access control section Click to enable Anonymous access and untick the other boxes that are below, you should now be able to access your webpage without having to login. That's from memory so may be a bit sketchy D

Is this on the root of ther folder your talking about, such as a root folder containing the faculty's seperate folders? If so then set the folder permissions for staff to deny and then remove inherited permissions on the folders below, then set the perms you want on these folders, this way they won't have access to move anything on the root of the drive but any further down the tree they will have full access. Also rember that if you set an allow on a share for staff it will over write the ACL of the folder! D

No rants from me nephilim I agree totally, I think choosing to go with RM if you have a choice does show a lack of skill and lazyness, once it's installed, to manage it it's just click this button click that button all laid out in front of you, they provide you with a console as they don't like you going into AD, where is the fun in that! Vanilla is definatly the way to go, if you want to loose touch with your AD and GP skills and slowly stagnate as your not keeping up with the current software then RM is for you, the minute you move from an RM network you will be in well over your head and not be able to do the things you are required to, purely because you will have become lax with having it so easy using the RM stuff. Rant over! D

Hi, Does anybody know of a good free app to use on an iPhone to enable me to get OWA mail in my inbox like I can do on my Blackberry? We don't have IMAP or POP enabled just OWA, I have found one but it is £4.99, ill have to get that if there are no free versions out there. D

RM / CC4 is not the way to go IMO. Vanilla supports all those O/S as well! RM is just the easy way out!

I can vouch for it being mind blowingly quick from the laptop experiment I did with 2 SSD drives in RAID 1. XP O/S loaded in seconds, was extremely responsive in what ever you did, it really removes any bottlenecks. D
